Homeless Man Who Returned Engagement Ring Earns $15k In Charity

Remember that nice story last week about the homeless man in Missouri who’d returned a very expensive ring to a woman named Sarah Darling? Yeah, well karma is a real thing and sometimes it works the way it’s supposed to.

According to Radar, the honest gent, Mr. Billy Ray Harris, had a website made in his honor that allows people to donate money to him. Sarah’s husband, Bill Krejci, reportedly set up the site and so far, $15k has been accumulated (their initial goal was $1,000). After 90 days (the fundraiser ends on May 15), Krejci says he’ll give the full amount to Mr. Harris.

Writes Bill on the website:

“Billy Ray Harris is a great man who could use some help. 

Billy Ray Harris returned my wife’s engagement ring after she accidentally put it into his cup. You may have heard the stories. A friend of my wife’s told a local Kansas City news station, KCTV. They ran a story, and it went viral big-time, eventually being picked up by many national and international news outlets. After friends expressed interest in helping out Billy Ray I put this site together to take donations for him. All donations will be given directly to Billy Rayat the end of the 90 day GiveForward Campaign.
