Only ‘Stupid Bitches’ Accuse Terry Richardson Of Sexual Harrasment

Maybelline Model Defends Terry Richardson: Those Who Accuse Him Are 'Stupid Bitches' 2013

When you hear the name Terry Richardson, what words come to mind? Well, ‘photographer’ and ‘fashion’ might, and ‘creepy’ probably most definitely does.

The 47-year-old, who has plenty of celebrity fans and friends including but not limited to Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan, and Kate Upton, has had a ton of controversy over the past several years, not just because of the sexual nature of his photography itself, but also because he’s been accused numerous time of sexual harassment and exploitation by models he’s worked with. Models Coco Rocha, Jamie Peck, and Rie Rasmussen are just a few that have made those accusations.

Rasmussen, a Danish model/filmmaker once said this about the infamous photographer: “He takes girls who are young, manipulates them to take their clothes off and takes pictures of them they will be ashamed of. They are too afraid to say no because their agency booked them on the job and are too young to stand up for themselves.”

On a similar note, Jamie Peck said of Richardson: “Of all the fine folks I’ve frolicked au natural for, he’s the only one who’s left me feeling like I needed to take two showers.”

But Richardson has his defenders too. A model named Charlotte Free, who has worked with him, was recently asked by someone, “How do you feel about all of the negative accusations against Terry Richardson?”

Here’s Free’s response: “i love terry’s raw sexuality, it’s one of the things i really admire about him. Terry likes to do sexy stuff, that’s his shit. If you don’t wanna be part of it, make it clear in the beginning. Don’t willingly blow the man and get all mad and ashamed later…I hate when girls say ‘but he asked me to.’ you should have said no then, stupid bitch! there’s plenty of other girls waiting in line, so he’s not forcing you to do shit. When you make a choice you have to live with it — unless someone got you f**ked up against your will. Thats how I feel about it.” [sic]

The post/response has since been deleted but the gist of it hasn’t been. Basically, Free’s reply is the perfect example of what the ‘blaming the victim’ psychology is all about, right? Take an innocent person who has been abused in some way (in this case it’d be sexually harassed) and then point the blaming finger at them when the abuse is brought to light? Yep, pretty much.
