Janet Jackson, Christina Applegate: Pulling Off Secret Weddings!

Celebrities are getting sneaky when it comes to pulling off secret ceremonies (like weddings!) without letting the media in on it. Pretty clever!

It’s been reported that Janet Jackson has gotten married to her billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana and they did it secretly last year!

The couple said in a statement Monday: “The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.”

The statement continued: “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet.”

This is Jackson’s third marriage. She was married to singer James DeBarge in 1985 before it was annulled, and married songwriter/director René Elizondo Jr. in 1991 before divorcing in 2000. That second marriage was also a secret (to the public), for the whole time they were married!

Well Janet, Miss Jackson (I’m nasty so I can call her that) isn’t the only celeb that’s sneaky good at marrying on the down-low, because Christina Applegate did it too!

The actress married longtime boyfriend Martyn LeNoble, who is the bassist and founding member of Porno for Pyros. The couple married Saturday night in a private ceremony held at their home in Los Angeles, according to People. They began dating in 2008 and have a 2-year-old daughter together.

This is Applegate’s second marriage, as she was previously married to actor Johnathon Schaech from 2001 to 2007.
