Liberty Ross Interview: Talks About Cheating Scandal That Left Her ‘Vulnerable’

Liberty Ross Interview With 'The Edit', Opens Up About Cheating Scandal 2013

I can’t imagine too many things being more painful than finding out your husband of ten years, and the father of your children, has cheated on you. To make it worse, he cheated on you with someone you know, and all of this has been broadcast to the world, for everyone to see and hear about.

Liberty Ross has survived this and with some time having passed, she’s ready to talk about it and she did recently with Net-a-Porter’s digital magazine, The Edit.

Ross recently filed for divorce from her director husband, Rupert Sanders, after she found out, along with the rest of the world, that he was having an affair with actress Kristen Stewart. All three of them worked together on Snow White And The Huntsman , which Sanders directed. Ross actually played Stewart’s character’s (Snow White) mom in the film!

What better way to heal and get on with your life then to get up, dust yourself off and get back to business? The 34-year-old model and actress has done just that and is ready to talk about her return to the catwalk in last September’s Alexander Wang show. She has a new outlook on life and has shared it with The Edit.

Here are some highlights of the Liberty Ross interview (via E!):

?”Alex [Wang] called and asked me to do it,” she says of her surprise appearance at New York fashion week less than two months after the Snow White cheating scandal. “It was a defining moment and I felt honored to be supported by him during that difficult time.”

In a rare and raw moment for the typically private Ross, she also alludes to the pain she felt after learning her husband strayed with the film’s lead star.

“I was not in a good way at that point in my life and felt incredibly vulnerable,” she admits. “Doing the show was daunting, but it was wonderful to get up there, show my strength and shine for someone who believes in me. I was very grateful.”?

Liberty went on to say that she’s still open to pursuing more acting roles and admits that it makes her feel “free and bizarrely at ease.”

She says, In front of the camera, I can be somebody else.”

Despite all the pain she’s been through, Ross still maintains her relaxed and positive outlook on life saying her motto was, and still is, “Live, love, laugh”.

Hooray for her! What an extremely strong woman, and she’s held up remarkably well through all of this… and with such class.
