Whenever I post pics of Amanda I get emails asking who she is. So here it is, in a nutshell.

Wikipedia: Amanda Lepore (born Armand Lepore) is an American transsexual icon who has received attention for her modeling, fashion, partying, and business skills. She has been the advertising face for Heatherette, M.A.C. (cosmetics), Mego Jeans, Swatch, CAMP Cosmetics and more. Fashion design company Heatherette has used Lepore’s image on much of their clothing and has chosen her several times to model their brand during Fashion Week. Lepore is also noted as a regular subject in much of David LaChapelle’s work. She participated in his Artists and Prostitutes 1985-2005 exhibit in New York where she “lived” in a voyeuristic life-sized set. She is represented by “Classic Entertainment Group (Manhattan, NY). Lepore resides in New York City and works as a nightlife hostess at many of the city’s popular parties and clubs.

I love this futuristic, post apocalyptic like commercial for Armani jeans.

Shot by my favorite photographer, David LaChapelle, it’s totally bizarre, very colorful and a little creepy. This was his first video effort.

It was only recently released from the Armani archives and stars a then unknown (and naked!) Ryan Philllipe and New York’s world famous transsexual, Amanda Lepore. LaChapelle discovered Phillipe in a New York diner.

Check it out, it’s bad ass.

How an you concentrate on the clothing when you have got these two modeling your line?

Amanda Lepore is just so much fun to gawk at…usually her friends are too.

For those who don’t know, Amanda is the best known transsexual in New York.   Last week she attended the birthday party of ‘Phillipe Blond’ whom I think is a drag queen because I don’t see any funbags on his chest.  He sort of looks like Nicolette Sheridan, but better!  And more feminine…heh.

On Saturday night, February 10th, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel the Human Rights Campaign celebrated its 7th Annual Greater NYC Gala Dinner.

The Nation’s Largest Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Civil Rights Organization Honors Supporters of Equality at its Annual Star-Studded NYC Dinner.

Cyndi Lauper performed at the dinner and was an Equality Award recipient, along with Nathan Lane.

Richie Rich and Trevor Raines received the Visibility Award. The design duo, Heatherette, was chosen for the award after designing a t-shirt exclusive for HRC with all proceeds from the sale of the shirt benefiting the organization’s mission. They are pictured here with Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign, and Amanda Lepore.

Designers Richie Rich and Travor Rains always have a wild show in store. Their shows are always colorful, pure eye candy.

Yes, that’s Kimora..

As always Amanda Lepore was the star, this time playing Glenda the good witch during the ‘Wizard of Oz’ theme of the show. Lydia Hearst was Dorothy, (I want that bag!), the Scarecrow (or is that the Tin Man or both?) looked like Buck Rogers‘ slave boy…equipped with easy access in the rear.
