Scissor Sisters Disappointed With Barbra Streisand

Scissor Sisters lead singer Jake Shears told an audience during a performance at London’s 02 arena that he was ripped off by Barbra Streisand.

Well, sort of.

He had attended her concert the night before, paying more than $1000 for his ticket. For that money you would expect to see a hell of a show, right? Unfortunately for Shears that wasn’t the case.

Shears said, “She came on ten minutes late then sang for ten minutes. Four gay men came up on the stage and she said, ‘These are my gay friends and they are going to sing my hits for me’.”

Fan Throws Drink at Barbra Streisand

Once again, Babs was taking jabs at President Bush during her concert on Monday in Florida when a fan threw a paper cup full of ’some sort of liquid’ onstage at the singer.
Streisand’s manager, Martin Erlichman, said Streisand blew off the split cup and responded,

“It’s a free country and they’re entitled to express their opinion.”

This is the third concert where Barbra has gone off on a political tangent. Streisand and her manager said that they thought it was a lighthearted skit and was meant to be in good fun. They also said that the skit will remain on their future itinerary.

“This skit has been so massively covered by media, it’s impossible that it still could come as a surprise to any of the Bush admirers who bought tickets. It stays in the show except for the few performances where Steve (Republican & writer of the skits) has a conflicting commitment,” Erlichman said.

Barbra Streisand Tells Heckler at Concert to ‘Shut the Fuck Up!’

Babs isn’t a fan of President Bush.

So during her concert at Madison Square Garden she brought out a Bush impersonator.
The president-double babbled on like a boob, and that had some Bush supporters in the audience jeering Babs. One told her she should stick to singing.
After a few more heckles, Babs asked the crowd, “Come on, be polite.” But true to the law of dipshits one guy wouldn’t stop.
Finally Barbra had enough. “Shut the fuck up!..Shut up if you can’t take a joke!”
The hecklers did. Streisand later apologized.
There were other audience outbursts as well, but they were good humored. “Marry me, and I’m gay!” one man yelled out to Streisand. To which she replied: “There are gay people here?”

You gotta love her.

Hey, you’ve got to age sometime, right?

I love Barbra. Her music takes me back to when my parents listened to her in the 70’s. Ahh…the good ol’ days. Here are a couple quotes from Queen Babs..
