Boy, they both know how to pick them, don’t they?
The new couple have apparently been dating on the sly since Benji and ex-flame Paris Hilton broke up.
They were introduced by Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, who has been in search of a new man for Brit. Rudolph supposedly also contacted Olympian Michael Phelps and Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford as potential new mates, but it was Madden who was the most interested in meeting the pop princess.
Since meeting, they have already been on a few dates and are reportedly hitting it off quite well.
Hilton’s rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly Wednesday.
A source told the magazine, “Even though they are still in love, they felt it would be better to just be friends. Benji was overprotective and controlling. He doesn’t get along with any of her friends. Friends thought Paris had changed since being with Benji and she wants to be herself again.”
This past weekend Hilton was spotted with ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos. Meanwhile, Madden hung out with his brother, Benji.
The source adds that nothing is going on between Stavros and Hilton, they just happened to be at the same place at the same time.
Benji and Paris have been together for nine months. Both have hinted during the course of their relationship that the other may have been, “the one”.
I know, I know, this news is upsetting. The couple we all model our own relationships after haven’t persevered. Just what will the rest of us do?

It looks like David Letterman and Paris Hilton got over their differences after her last appearance.

This time Paris talks about her new reality show on MTV, Nicole Richie and their relationship, and, of course, Benji Madden, whom she says she wants to be with “forever”. :rolleyes:
