The B-52’s Set for Comeback After 16 Years

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

That wacky, colorful and always fun band of the past is finally making a return.

The B-52’s first release in 16 years is set to hit stores on March 25th. ‘Funplex’ is the first album with the band’s new label, Astralwerks.

All band members participated in the writing for the album which was recorded in their native Athens, GA.

Guitarist Keith Strickland described the recording, “It’s loud, sexy rock and roll for your pleasure zones, with the beat pumped up to hot pink.”

Astralwerks manager Glenn Mendlinger stated, “We are thrilled to be bringing The B-52’s music to a new generation of intergalactic fans. Cindy, Fred, Kate, and Keith have made an album that is incredibly fresh, dynamic and perhaps most importantly, quintessentially The B-52’s … instantly recognizable, instantly fun.”

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

If you were a girl growing up in the late 70s your idol was almost certainly Lynda Carter, in the television series that ran from 1976-79, Wonder Woman.

Lynda was definitely one of the most stunning women in television. The body of a goddess, jet black hair , electric blue eyes and that super hot superhero costume.

Enjoy this tribute to one of the hottest bitches in Hollywood.

Angelina Jolie, father Jon Voight and brother James Haven at the 1988 Academy Awards

Although this father and daughter pair have had their problems, Jon Voight took her to the Academy Awards and movie premieres when she was younger. She looks amazingly the same - even twenty years later. Her brother though, looks a lot different!

I Love the 80s

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

Hulk Hogan and Honey Nut Cheerios, 1984

One of the great things about being a kid in the 80s…cereal commercials!

I dug up a few vintage ads that some of you may remember. They will remind you of Saturday mornings, Big Wheels and sugar-highs. Those were the days!

C3PO’s!

This one goes back to 1977, Fruity Pebbles! I was 5, but I totally remember the pencil holder prize!

Probably the most popular cereal commercial of the 80s, Life cereal with Mikey.
