Britney Spears, her father Jamie and Mel Gibson are all headed to Costa Rica for a vacation!

The three left for Central America in a private jet at approximately 9:00am this morning. Mel invited Britney and her father to stay with his at his home there.

Britney is supposed to get approval before leaving the country due to her child custody battle, and although she does not have her children with her, it’s not known if she abided by those rules. But if her dad went with her, I would think in order to not complicate the case they would have covered their bases. I’m sure TMZ or someone will find out soon enough though. Because you know that if she didn’t get permission, it’s going to be the latest Britney controversy. Always something..

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline headed back to the courtroom today and it turned out to be a good day for Britney.

Ms. Spears was granted three days a week with the boys, a step in the right direction for Britney, who is trying to get back equal custody with her children.

Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan said during a press conference that the boys’ overnight stays will be “phased in”.

“The court made orders today, they were orders that the parties were able to mostly agree to. It represents a a cautious step moving forward.”

Kaplan added that everyone is pleased at the progress of this case, and that of Britney. He also stated that the children are doing “great”.

Britney’s parents released a statement saying they are “pleased with Britney’s progress” and “very appreciative” that the judge is considering the fact that she has shown improvement in recent months.

Both Kevin and Britney are expected back in court on July 15th.

It’s been awhile since we have heard anything from Britney Spears‘ former sidekick Sam Lutfi, and I have to say it’s been rather nice.

The courts must agree, because his restraining order has been extended until July 31st. Technically it can be extended up to five years, so with any luck that little goon is out of the picture for good.

The order has been in effect since February after Britney’s mom, Lynne, accused Lutfi of drugging Brit.

Britney’s father and attorney are still in control of her legal affairs, and the conservatorship is to be reviewed on July 31st as well. It is also expected to be extended.

Britney Spears was involved in a minor fender bender on Saturday that involved three vehicles.

Britney was driving northbound on the 405 connector to the 101 freeway when she rear ended a Nissan at a low rate of speed, which, in turn, also hit the car in front of it.

Statement from the accident report: “The collision occurred when the driver of the Mercedes, driving in the #3 lane, in stop and go traffic failed to observe the vehicle directly ahead of her come to a complete stop. She attempted to brake but failed to stop her vehicle prior to colliding into the rear of the Nissan [in front of her].”

The man who Britney hit says that he saw Britney applying makeup moments before the impact.

No injuries were initially reported but TMZ is saying that the guy in the Nissan has complained of a sore back Sunday.

“I just am a real fan of our content. I think we have a great show going, and I hope it’s not screwed up by the desire for 700,000 more viewers.”

Britney Spears‘ father, Jamie Spears, has reportedly reached out to ex-flame Justin Timberlake for help with his daughter’s mental issues.

According to Life & Style magazine, Britney’s dad is planning a low key summer barbecue where Britney and Justin can talk and…probably feel a little awkward.

A source said, “Jamie reached out to Justin and asked if he’d be willing to come over to Britney’s house to talk to her face-to-face, and Justin said yes. Jamie’s hoping that by finally seeing him, she’ll be able to get some real closure, some resolution. He thinks that might be a huge help to her.”

Can someone explain to me how this is supposed to help her? Geeze, poor JT, he can’t get away from this crazy family! He’ll never live down the fact that he was Britney Spears’ first boyfriend, and it seems like her family will never let him forget it either! Move ON bitches! Leave the guy alone!
