The dress was kept a secret until it’s unveiling, but Carrie had hinted at what she would be wearing during rehearsals. “Kind of like water, maybe? Like red water? That sounds scary, doesn’t it? Maybe like lava. It’s like lava. Or icing. Red icing.”

Carrie Underwood, straight off her wins at the Country Music Association Awards earlier this month, picked up three more trophies.
“This is one heck of a night,” she gushed, accepting the award for favorite country album. She also won favorite country female artist and an audience text-in award for favorite artist. And, ever the Southern belle, she was overheard saying “holy cow” as her name was read for the second time.
Chris Daughtry, the other nominated Idol, joined his eponymous band, Daughtry, at the podium three times as they won favorite pop-rock album for Daughtry, as well as breakthrough artist and adult contemporary artist.
“Wow. I can’t believe we’re in the category with Justin Timberlake and Linkin Park. It’s pretty awesome,” Daughtry said.
The night’s other big winners included Akon (soul/R&B male), Rihanna (soul/R&B female) and Justin Timberlake (pop/rock male and soul/R&B album), who accepted his awards via satellite from Australia, where he is on tour.
While Kimmel’s dancing left more than a little to be desired, the performance by Chris Brown and his dancers to “Kiss Kiss” – a literal high-wire act with hip-hop versions of Tron-style suits – had Celine Dion speechless backstage in the pressroom.
Likewise, Beyoncé and Sugarland’s countrified version of her hit “Irreplaceable” had the crowd on its feet.
On a serious note, Usher, Kid Rock and Rihanna took time to send condolences to Kanye West, who’s grieving the loss of his mother, Donda, whose funeral is set for Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
Carrie Underwood and Kevin Eubanks have been named this years world’s sexiest vegetarians in a contest sposored by PETA.
Underwood, 24, a Grammy-winning country singer, won the title in 2005. Eubanks, 49, leader of NBC’s Tonight Show band, is a newcomer to the winner’s circle.

eno, who encouraged viewers to vote for Eubanks and "bring honor" to the late-night NBC talk show.
"I’m gonna keep this campaign going," Leno said during a recent show after sharing a photo of a shirtless Eubanks with his audience. Leno said the shot, in which Eubanks is holding a backpack and posing against a woodsy backdrop, was not doctored.
Runners-up in the contest, which the animal rights group said drew more than 110,000 votes on its web site, included Joaquin Phoenix, Milo Ventimiglia, Kristen Bell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jared Leto and Lisa Edelstein.
Last year, Prince and Bell, who starred on the Veronica Mars TV series, were picked as the two sexiest vegetarians. Previous winners also include Natalie Portman, Andre 3000, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Shania Twain, Tobey Maguire, Lauren Bush, Josh Hartnett and Alicia Silverstone.

Last night Faith Hill was a bit out of character.
The usually demure country singer screamed, “WHAT!?” into the cameras after not winning the CMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year. The award went to American Idol’s Carrie Underwood instead.
Now Faith Hill is backtracking and saying that she was just kidding..of course.
Regardless, I think it was bad judgement on her part, and joke or not, made her look like an arrogant diva.
From People.com: “Faith Hill and her manager are responding to comments about the sour note she appeared to have struck during Monday night’s Country Music Association awards, during the female vocalist of the year award presentation.When Carrie Underwood’s name was announced as the winner, Hill, who was nominated in the category, was caught by the ABC camera flailing her arms and apparently shouting “What?” before walking out of camera range.
Hill said Tuesday in a statement released by her publicist: “The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me. For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving female vocalist of the year.”
Added Hill’s manager, Gary Borman: “I’ve worked with Faith for many years now and the idea that she would ever insult or undermine another artist, let alone another human being’s success is absolutely preposterous. Those who know her know that she’s incapable of such actions. She was being playful while the nominations were being read and playful after.”
The other nominees were Sara Evans, Martina McBride and Gretchen Wilson.
Accepting her award onstage, a tearful Underwood said that two years ago she was just somebody who stayed home and watched the ceremony. Backstage, she told reporters she didn’t anticipate winning, and even turned down the offer of her date, Anthony Fedrov, to hold her purse should she win, reports ABC News.”
