Gary Dourdan issued a statement via email to Access Hollywood regarding his arrest for drug possession in Palm Springs a few days ago, but after it was printed his rep denied that it was meant for publication.

His rep is also claiming that it wasn’t an email sent to Access Hollywood, but instead a personal text message sent to a friend.

The statement was a little weird. It’s almost as though he wrote it while he was toasted.

“Obviously I certainly wish I hadn’t been responsible for so many people getting to the festival’s VIP area. And the after party, it ran me ragged, but I’m glad pulling over did prevent a DUI. I recommend not driving at all, but a little kip (nap) is always good (on either side of the road LOL).”

Dourdan goes on to say that the drugs found in his vehicle during the search were not his.

“I am blessed that the Sgt. realized that the luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and that my tests have been coming back negative. I’ve been happy to cooperate in any way to clear myself and go on with my blessed life.”

Dourdan continues, really laying it on thick..

“I am so sorry to all my fans, especially the young ones, like Taylor Swift, who I should’ve been supporting with my daughter instead of driving tired in the desert. I am planning events to get the word out that you don’t need a bunch of nasty chemicals to have a good time. Just good friends, family, good music and a good honest spirit full of faith.”

Typical of celebrities to say this sort of thing, or anyone caught with drugs for that matter, so I totally don’t buy it. Remember Lindsay Lohan saying that she was wearing someone else’s pants after cocaine was found in them? Heh.

Peaches Geldof, 19, is set to be questioned by police after footage of her buying drugs was found during a search of a drug dealers home.

The home of Jonny Blagrove, dealer to numerous celebrities in London, was searched during a Scotland Yard investigation and during the search they found a PC memory stick with footage of Peaches buying drugs from Blagrove. Also found was footage of Amy Winehouse.

The recording of Bob Geldof’s daughter had been deleted but police recovered the evidence. In the footage Peaches is seen holding £140 - and Blagrove tells her it’s going to cost her £190. She agrees and then says, “I’m going to need Valium tomorrow after this.” Although it’s not known what exactly she purchased, you can guess it’s most likely coke.

Peaches mother mother, Paula Yates, died at the age of 40 from a heroin overdose in 2000.

Peaches has said in the past that she does not use drugs, although she added that her friends do. I always love it when kids say that. How many non crackheads do you know that hang out with crackheads? Exactly.

Peaches will be formally interviewed but it is knot known if she will be arrested. A police source said, “The priority of the investigation is to nail the people who are supplying the drugs.”

Also found on that same memory stick was more footage of Amy Winehouse smoking crack. Blagrove was the one who apparently filmed Winehouse smoking the drug last January and over two hours of additional footage was discovered.

Hottie Megan Fox was banned from shopping at Walmart in her hometown after the actress was caught shoplifting as a teenager.

Fox, 21, was caught red handed stealing makeup from a Florida Wal-Mart before her rise to stardom and the incident caused to her to be banned from the retail chain.

A friend of Megan’s said, “Megan was quite a rebel growing up. She thought she could get away with anything, and definitely had sticky fingers. She would pocket things like candy and gum from convenience stores, but Megan’s shoplifting days were quickly put to an end when she got busted for heisting a $7 tube of lip-gloss from Wal-Mart.”

“At first, Megan denied it. Even after they told her they caught her on surveillance video, Megan still tried talking her way out of it. But when they threatened to call the police, Megan broke down in tears and confessed.”

Fox’s publicist refused to confirm or deny the reports.

Dennis Rodman, 46, was arrested last night after hitting a woman, most likely his estranged wife, at a hotel in Century City, CA.

A police spokesperson told the LA Times, “During the investigation, police learned he had hit a woman and she suffered injuries to her arms.”

Rodman was arrested and booked for felony domestic violence. He posted the $50,000 bail this morning and was released.

Steve Simon, Rodman’s manager, says that Rodman has been having a difficult time with his divorce from wife, Michelle Moyer, and is upset that he hasn’t been able to visit his children. He said, “The legal process will sort itself out. I’m kind of waiting for the facts to unfold because it’s really uncharacteristic for him.”

Gary Dourdan was busted by Palm Springs police officers when they found him sleeping in his car at 5:21am yesterday morning.

Police say the actor had heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs on him. Geeze dude, how high do you need to be? Holy hell, that’s enough to take down Jason Davis an elephant!

Dourdan was promptly taken to jail where he posted his $5000 bail and was released.

Hope it was worth it, moron. Say goodbye to your career!

Scott Weiland, 40, has been sentenced to eight days in jail for his November DUI arrest.

He was represented by his attorney in court who entered a no contest plea.

Weiland was also ordered to attend and complete an 18-month alcohol education class and must shell out $2000 in fines. He must serve serve his jail time before May 28.

The former Velvet Revolver frontman is no stranger to the law. He was convicted of DUI in 2003, has prior domestic disputes and has numerous drug related charges on his record.

Earlier this month his bandmates announced they had decided to kick the singer out of the group as his behavior had become ‘increasingly erratic’. (A.K.A. he’s been using again..)

Weiland has since reunited with the band that originally shot him to stardom, Stone Temple Pilots.

Former model Angie Everhart was arrested last Thursday in the early morning hours for DUI.

She was held on $15,000 bail and was released later that morning. Rumor has it that the red haired beauty and Joe Pesci, who became engaged last summer, broke up this weekend.

A source said that Angie begged cops to take her to a bathroom so she could avoid pissing herself, and believe it or not, the police obliged by driving her to a nearby restaurant. Have you ever heard of that before? Usually they’ll just let you marinate yourself. If you have to pee that bad, you’re probably f*cked up.

Angie’s court date is set for May 15th.

Amy Winehouse was arrested earlier today in London on suspicion of assault.

Amy reported to the London police station by appointment for questioning regarding the incident we told you about yesterday where she head-butted a man who was trying to hail her a cab. Winehouse, who was completely trashed at the time, thought the man was molesting her.

A Scotland Yard spokesman stated, “A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault after attending a central London police station by appointment. She is currently in custody.”

When Amy arrived at the station she must have been loaded because a police spokesperson said she was initially not fit to be interrogated. “The doctor has seen the 24-year old woman and has said that she is not fit to be interviewed. That means that we cannot deal with her for at least four hours and until the doctor has seen her again.”

If Amy is found guilty of assault she faces up to six months in jail and a £2,000 fine.

Meanwhile, Blake Fielder-Civil made an appearance in court today just hours before his wife was arrested. Amy did not make the hearing, but a young blonde named Sophie Schandorff, who was obviously very much into Blake, did. Blake seemed elated.

They were seen mouthing “I love you” to each other repeatedly. Blake said, “You all right, babe?” and made a waving gesture to her to suggest she come visit him in prison. And again she mouthed back, “I love you, I love you”, before the court warned her to stop. Later she told reporters that she and Blake are good friends who have known each other for awhile. Riiigghht.

Oh, can’t you just feel it? Amy and Blake’s junkie love story is about to come to an end. So much for happy endings.

Wesley Snipes was sentenced to three years prison in Florida today on tax evasion charges after a jury found him guilty in February.

Snipes failed to pay taxes for three years resulting in the government claiming he owed nearly $3 million dollars. However, his attorneys claim that he owes only $228,000.

His lawyers requested that U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges limit their client’s sentence in a hearing this morning. They thought he should get no prison time and no fine. Instead, he received the maximum penalty.

Snipes was acquitted of three other similar misdemeanors as well as two felony charges of tax fraud and conspiracy.

Richie Sambora was formally charged with driving under the influence today after being arrested March 25th.

He is facing two misdemeanor counts of DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. His BAC registered .13.

Sambora, 48, was pulled over in Laguna Beach after he was spotted drifting over the yellow line. He was accompanied by a woman and two children. One of the children is believed to have been Sambora and Heather Locklear’s child, Ava, who was released to her mother after the incident.

Police requested that the district attorney also charge the Bon Jovi rocker with child endangerment, but for some bizarre reason prosecutors don’t think they have enough evidence to make a strong case against him.

“The charge of DUI in itself indicates you have endangered yourself and others. There would have needed to be additional aggravating circumstances to charge that.”

Now, I’m no lawyer, but isn’t a DUI reason enough? WTF? Are they serious? Because he didn’t crash his car he didn’t put the child’s life in danger? BULLSH*T! He was driving with almost DOUBLE the legal limit!

Just for fun I did a little research to see what other ‘child endangerment’ cases have made the news lately in California, just for comparison. Check them out and then YOU tell ME if it’s fair that Sambora is not being charged with this offense. Keep in mind that I tried to find cases in which there were no injuries or accidents. Apples to apples.

• This woman turned onto a freeway off-ramp then realized she went the wrong way. She made a U-turn to get off the ramp and was spotted by an officer.  She had a 5-year-old child in the car and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She is facing child endangerment charges.  (LINK)

• In Bakersfield at a security checkpoint, a man believed to be intoxicated with a small boy in the vehicle was arrested and charged with DUI and child endangerment. (LINK)

I don’t know. It just doesn’t make sense to me. After all the energy and education that has been put forth to try and hinder drunk driving I think it is a slap in the face to those who may have lost a child in a DUI accident or to those trying to uphold the law.
