Nicole Richie was involved in a car accident Monday afternoon after a car driven by a paparazzo rear-ended her.

Nicole is claiming that she is injured but declined to be taken to an emergency room. Instead, she told police she will see her own doctors. A male passenger was in the car as well, no word on if he suffered any injuries.

The photographer, who works for the photo agency X17, has been arrested for driving without a license. Suprise, surprise.

Anyone can be a paparazzo, you don’t even neeed to have a driver’s license! Sheesh. I don’t even think some of these guys have green cards. They’re always rear-ending someone. It’s surprising that no one has gotten killed – well, since Princess Diana anyway. And for what? A lousy picture? Putting people’s lives in jeopardy is certainly not worth it.

Steven Tyler falls off stage during concert

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler fell off stage while performing for a crowd at a South Dakota concert early Thursday morning.

Tyler was dancing around on stage, trying to entertain the crowd after the band’s sound system failed after they performing the song “Love in an Elevator”.

Going Down? Heh, sorry I had to throw that in there..

The concert, a part of the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally, was held at the Buffalo Chip Campground.

Tyler, 61, had to be airlifted from the scene. He suffered head, neck and shoulder injuries. He seemed in good spirits though. He laughed about the fall with paramedics as he was going loaded into the helicopter.

The extent of Tyler’s injuries are not known at this point. He is most likely being treated at Rapid City Regional Hospital, the only major hospital in Western South Dakota.

Mike Sanborn, spokesperson for the Buffalo Chip Campground, explained how it happened: “He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand. He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage.”

Tyler then fell down into the crowd, landing on a few fans below. As he got back on stage with the help of security, the crowd roared. A physician immediately tended to him.

Just after midnight, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry told the crowd that the band could not go on and that Tyler had to be taken away for treatment.

Poor Steven! He is not a very big guy, in fact, he looks kind of frail! Hopefully he didn’t sustain any major injuries. Head and neck injuries can be a terrible thing! Best wishes to you Steven!

Bret Michaels posted pics and a rant on his MySpace page regarding the Tony’s incident the other night where he was injured onstage after running into a huge stage prop.

Or maybe the stage prop ran into him. It depends on who you ask.

Bret’s rep released a scathing statement, suggesting if Bret had been a huge A-lister that he would have been treated better after the accident. But instead the Tony’s swept him under the rug and acted like it was no big thang.

An excerpt reads:

“I find it surprising that a Tony spokesperson would brush off this incident with a comment stating ‘Mr. Michaels missed his mark’ with no mention of concern for his condition. If everyone at the Tonys were aware that Bret missed his mark then they should have been aware enough to stop the set piece from hitting him or at least slowed it down until he cleared the stage.

I feel had this incident happened to Liza Minnelli, Dolly Parton or Elton John the Tonys would have at least issued a letter of concern.

Bret has performed live, with Poison or solo, for over 20 years and on a daily basis is around pyro, lasers and a moving light show. He understands that there is always an element of risk in any live performance, but Bret entrusts his safety to the crew whose job it is to make sure the show goes off without a hitch and should any member of the band be in harm’s way that they do not complete the gag.

However in this situation Bret was not on his stage but was at the mercy of the Tonys. He was performing on the Tonys stage and had the reasonable expectation that that safety of the artist was a priority and at no time did he do anything over the top or outlandish that would have put himself or others in a dangerous situation.”

He is right. It’s funny because it was Bret Michaels. But damn straight, if it would have been Dolly Parton, oh lawd, people would have SCRAMBLED!

Casey Aldridge (Jamie Spears’ baby daddy) and four other passengers were involved in a car accident on 606 north in Louisiana.

Three people, including Aldridge, were ejected from the Ford F-250.

The accident occurred around 1:30 AM Sunday morning after Aldridge swerved off the road then over corrected, causing the vehicle to flip.

Law enforcement officials say they do not have a reason to believe that alcohol was involved, however, police did not speak to Aldridge until nearly four hours after the accident. A source told People magazine that Aldridge and passengers were attending a bachelor party and decided to leave to go crabbing.

Hmmm…I honestly don’t know that many “dry” bachelor parties…

Police say Casey suffered moderate injuries and the two other ejected passengers refused treatment at the scene.

He has been charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle.

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a hit & run accident after the game last night.

The accident happened in Fullerton, only hours after Adenhart had pitched a game.

Nick was the passenger in a Mitsubishi Eclipse when a minivan came screaming through an intersection, hitting Nick’s vehicle and causing it to hit a pole. Three people were killed. At least two of them were involved with the Angels ball club.

The driver of the minivan fled the scene but was later apprehended. That person is being treated for injuries at a local hospital and will be charged with felony hit and run.

Nick was only 22.

UPDATES:

The driver of the minivan has been identified as Andrew Gallo. Gallo fled the scene after the accident and was driving on a suspended license – due to another past DUI!

The driver of the Mitsubishi was 20-year-old Courtney Stewart. She was a student at Cal State Fullerton.

One survivor, Jon Wilhite, a former baseball player at Cal State Fullerton, is in critical condition at the UC Irvine Medical Center.

Lindsay Lohan visited several designers in the Los Angeles fashion district yesterday.

She spent several hours meeting with designers at a showroom called Place. A female, who may have been her assistant, drover Lohan’s new white Maserati coupe.

Unfortunately for the driver she was involved in a minor fender bender on the way to a meeting downtown. Lindsay was a passenger at the time.

Those poor cars just don’t have a chance with Lindsay or Britney, do they?

Matt Lauer was absent from the Today Show this morning after being involved in a bicycle accident.

Co-host Meredith Vieira made light of the injury saying that Lauer thought the deer had been hired by the competition. She then joked that she was actually the one who hired the deer, telling it to “just graze him”.

Today executive producer Jim Bell described the accident, “Matt was cycling on Long Island and was going pretty fast downhill. A deer kind of came out of nowhere and in an effort to avoid hitting the deer, Matt slammed on the brakes and went flying. He separated his shoulder.”

Lauer, 51, was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

“90210″ actress AnnaLynne McCord was involved in an accident on La Cienega in West LA.

McCord wrecked her new Mini Cooper after rear-ending a new Range Rover. She was unhurt, but her car had to be towed from the scene.
