Pearl Jam in Posters: A Gallery of Illustrated Tour Art
Rolling Stone magazine put together this cool collage of Pearl Jam posters from over the years.
I have always been a fan of album art, posters and such. Living in Seattle in the early 90’s I definitely remember seeing a lot of their posters around town.
Las Vegas, Nevada. July 11, 1998.
“Not only do I remember this gig, but recall seeing someone in the crowd who looked exactly like that.” — Eddie Vedder, Knoxville, Tennessee. September 6, 1998.

Ode to the Crocodile Hunter. Melbourne, Australia. February 18-20, 2003.
“Organized this show to raise funds combating prostate cancer at the request of Johnny Ramone. He was dying and his friends were doing whatever we could do not just to keep him alive, but to make him happy. John Frusciante flew in from thousands of miles away after the end of a Peppers tour. [Chris] Cornell came up. It was also the day I told loved ones we were expecting a child. It wasn’t just a life or death gig … it was life and death — emotional. Turned out to be the last time Johnny saw myself or the band play live. He was happy, I was proud. I’m thankful he stuck around so my daughter could meet her Uncle John.” — Eddie Vedder on the Benefit for the Prostate Center. Santa Barbara, California. October 28, 2003.
Detroit, Michigan. March 22, 2006.

Grace Slick Talks About Trying to Slip President Nixon LSD
Grace Slick and her art exhibit at the Artexpo in Las Vegas, September 29, 2007
Rock and Roll icon Grace Slick recently did an interview with Leah Pietrusiak of Time Out Chicago and spoke about trying to slip then President of the United States Richard Nixon some acid.
Leah: Okay, tell me about trying to slip Richard Nixon acid at the White House.
Grace Slick: See, Trish Nixon’s daughter went to Finch College, and it was so small that she invited all of the alumni to a tea at the White House. But my name when I went there was Grace Wing, that doesn’t mean anything right? Now, Grace Slick meant something.
So I get an invitation to the White House and I call up Abbie Hoffman and say [Sing-songy] “Guess what I have….I’ve got an invitation to the White House.” So I put 600 mics of acid under a long fingernail I had for cocaine, and we go and we’re standing in line, and the security guard comes up to me and says, “I’m sorry you can’t go in. You’re a security risk.” And I go, “What?!” And he says, “You’re on the FBI list.” And I go, “What?!?!” And I found out that the members of Jefferson Airplane were on a list because of “suspect lyrics.”
They didn’t know why I was a security threat, but they were right.
