I say that cautiously as the births have been erroneously reported before. Remember that whole thing with Entertainment Tonight last month?

This time French magazine, Closer, reported this morning that the actress went into labor last night and gave birth this morning.

An excerpt from the magazine:

En exclusivite mondiale, Closer est en mesure de vous annoncer qu’Angelina Jolie aurait accouché ce matin dans un hôpital français ! La star serait rentrée hier soir en salle de travail. Toute reproduction interdite sans la mention du site closermag.fr

There has yet to be an official confirmation from the couple’s publicist.

Jamie Lynn Spears delivered her baby naturally and not by c-section as reported through some sources.

The 17-year old mother delivered Maddie Briann Aldridge naturally and without any problems.

The baby girl was born at 9:33am and weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. Mother and child are said to be resting comfortably (comfortable, my ass!) and are surrounded by family.

Cousin Alli Sims thinks that Jamie Lynn will be a fabulous mother. “I’m sure the baby’s beautiful, and I’m so glad everybody’s healthy and doing well. I just wish them all the happiness in the world. I know they’re going to have so much fun.”

Jamie Lynn Spears popped out her little Cheeto eatin’ monkey today.

Maddie Briann was born at approximately 9:30am in a Mississippi hospital.

Big sister Britney, father Jamie and brother Bryan all flew into town yesterday to be there when the child was born. Mom Lynne has been with Jamie for sometime, helping her prepare for the baby.

A source says, “Just the family was there. Everyone is healthy and happy.”

Tori Spelling gave birth to baby girl on Monday.

She and husband Dean McDermott named her Stella Doreen (Doreen was the name of Dean’s late mother) McDermott. She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz.

Tori’s spokesperson said, “She’s here! She’s a healthy baby girl. Tori and baby are resting comfortably.”

Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren have welcomed a baby girl into the world!

She was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. It’s not yet known what the baby’s been named or any other details.

Congratulations to the new parents!

Oh my gosh, I love these two. And I love what they are doing for Autism.

Yay for celebrities who really do something good with their status. I’m sure the people who are affected by Autism feel so fortunate to have these two on their side.

The buzz floating around the internet this morning is…did Angelina Jolie give birth?

Jolie, who is pregnant with twins, reportedly gave birth in the Aix-En-Provence region of France in a Catholic clinic. She wasn’t due for a few more weeks.

Not much else is known at this time. I’ll update the story as I find out more.

UPDATE: People magazine is reporting that the rumors are false.  Angelina’s rep stated, “Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France.”

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have taken to the internet to officially announce Ashley’s pregnancy.

Pete wrote on his site, friendsorenemies.com:

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

Rapper Xzibit’s premature infant son died Monday morning.

Xavier Kingston Joiner was born on May 15th. Xzibit blogged on his MySpace that his son’s lungs were not strong enough to breathe oxygen. After struggling for eleven days, Xavier died.

The rapper also blogged the day his son was born and he described the pain the family was going through. He also praised the importance of family.

“I am writing you from the hospital right now because Xavier was born a lil pre-maturely. But I am keeping faith that everything will work out fine. I tell you people, bringing a life into this world right now is a blessing for me. I have had time to focus and put A LOT of sh** into perspective over the last few years. And at the end of the day, if you don’t have FAMILY around you … you don’t have sh**.”

“I must tell you this, it is unnatural for a parent to bury a child. I am telling you this because of the same reason I tell you when I’m having great times, life is too short to be fake. Hold on to your kids, if you have them. Protect them and show them you love them everyday you wake up and see them. Don’t take a second you get to hug them, teach them and care for them for granted. You can have all the material wealth in the universe, but it is NOTHING compared to having your family.”

Our thoughts are with the family of Xavier Kingston Joiner.

Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and baby Harlow are featured in the upcoming June issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

The shoot took place at grandpa Richie’s home in Beverly Hills.

Nicole told Extra! that her whole life has changed since becoming a mother, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. “Everything I do is for her. My whole life revolves around her and I absolutely love it. I was so excited from the minute I found out I was pregnant… and it’s been nothing but an amazing ride since.”

Nicole adds that her friends adore Harlow and that they have all grown up a bit since she’s been in their lives. “I feel like my group of five to ten friends, they really love her, like she’s theirs… my friends never go outside for smoke breaks anymore, they don’t curse, they are definitely more demure. It’s actually been really interesting.”

One thing that might (or might not) surprise you is that daddy Joel does most of the dirty work when it comes to the baby. Nicole admits, “Joel actually changes more diapers than I do. It’s his time with her. He sings to her, he laughs with her, plays with her. It’s amazing.”

She adds, “I’m the luckiest girl alive right now. I have nothing to complain about.”
