Whitney Houston To Perform For Charity

After a long hiatus from entertaining, Whitney Houston is set to perform for a charity event in May.

The recovering drug-addict diva will sing at the Caudwell Children’s Legend Ball at Battersea Evolution in London on May 8th.

Charity founder John Caudwell said, “We are thrilled to have an artist of Whitney’s caliber to headline the event. Last year was a huge success and with Whitney’s support, we are fully expecting this year’s event to be bigger and better than ever.”

Houston’s big comeback album will be released in November, and Clive Davis has confirmed that five songs are already completed.

Right on Whitney. She seemed like such a hopeless case a couple years ago. Sort of like Amy Winehouse these days. Blake is to Amy as Bobby was to Whitney.

It took years, but Whitney finally got away from that cancer of a husband and lived through the experience. She is on track to make an amazing comeback. You go girl.

PETA Not Down With ‘The Queen’

Just a week after Aretha Franklin ripped on Beyonce for introducing Tina Turner as ‘The Queen’, PETA is coming forward to try and get Aretha to stop wearing real furs.

PETA is using the recent controversy to try and convince the very plus-sized soul singer to retire her fur coats and go faux.

In a letter to Franklin, PETA spokesperson Dan Matthews writes, “Music lovers may think of you as a ‘queen,’ but to animal lovers, you are a court jester. Why not shed the old-fashioned look that adds pounds to your frame and detracts from your beautiful voice? Please consider donating your furs to the homeless as ‘queen of compassion,’ Mariah Carey, did. You’ll get a tax credit for the donation, and we at PETA will all sing your praises.”

What’s Up With the Old Broads?

First it was Natalie Cole crying about Amy Winehouse not deserving her Grammys, then it was Aretha Franklin bitching about Beyonce calling Tina Turner ‘The Queen’.

Diva drama at the Grammys this year!

Aretha stated after the show, “I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyoncé, however I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy. In addition to that, I thank the Grammys and the voting academy for my 20th Grammy and love to Beyoncé anyway.”

Give me a break! First off, Beyonce didn’t call her ‘The Queen of Soul’ as Aretha has been dubbed, but simply, ‘The Queen’. Tina is a queen! Damn!

I think Aretha was a little jealous that Tina still looks incredibly amazing and she looks like a pair of Queen size pantyhose stuffed to the hilt with Idaho Spuds.

Get over it Aretha! You’re still the Queen of Soul, but you’re not the only Queen!

- Mariah Carey swears she is not the diva people claim she is.

“They’re all over the place in New Mexico. They’re there. It’s not a question of are they or not. The question is why.  I’ve talked to people all over the world who’ve been aboard the craft and told me what they learned.”

- Shirley MacLaine insists aliens and UFOs are common in certain parts of the world.
