Nicole Richie is desperately trying to get healthy for the sake of her unborn child.

Star Magazine reports that she is afraid that her heroin using, coke inhaling, and eating disorder days may affect the child she’s rumored to be carrying. Apparently boyfriend Joel Madden is doing his best to ensure Nicole is healthy.

The whole reason behind Nicole’s rehab stint in May was that she had just learned of her pregnancy and needed help getting on track.

“Joel’s doing everything he can to get Nicole to eat more, for herself and the baby,” and insider tells Star.
