Richie Sambora Formally Charged With DUI, But Why Not Child Endangerment?

Richie Sambora was formally charged with driving under the influence today after being arrested March 25th.

He is facing two misdemeanor counts of DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. His BAC registered .13.

Sambora, 48, was pulled over in Laguna Beach after he was spotted drifting over the yellow line. He was accompanied by a woman and two children. One of the children is believed to have been Sambora and Heather Locklear’s child, Ava, who was released to her mother after the incident.

Police requested that the district attorney also charge the Bon Jovi rocker with child endangerment, but for some bizarre reason prosecutors don’t think they have enough evidence to make a strong case against him.

“The charge of DUI in itself indicates you have endangered yourself and others. There would have needed to be additional aggravating circumstances to charge that.”

Now, I’m no lawyer, but isn’t a DUI reason enough? WTF? Are they serious? Because he didn’t crash his car he didn’t put the child’s life in danger? BULLSH*T! He was driving with almost DOUBLE the legal limit!

Just for fun I did a little research to see what other ‘child endangerment’ cases have made the news lately in California, just for comparison. Check them out and then YOU tell ME if it’s fair that Sambora is not being charged with this offense. Keep in mind that I tried to find cases in which there were no injuries or accidents. Apples to apples.

This woman turned onto a freeway off-ramp then realized she went the wrong way. She made a U-turn to get off the ramp and was spotted by an officer. She had a 5-year-old child in the car and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She is facing child endangerment charges. (LINK)

In Bakersfield at a security checkpoint, a man believed to be intoxicated with a small boy in the vehicle was arrested and charged with DUI and child endangerment. (LINK)

I don’t know. It just doesn’t make sense to me. After all the energy and education that has been put forth to try and hinder drunk driving I think it is a slap in the face to those who may have lost a child in a DUI accident or to those trying to uphold the law.

Britney Spears turned 26 yesterday and celebrated with friends Alli Sims and Sam Lufit.

Around 10pm the crew arrived at the Scandanavian Style Mansion house party. Sharon Stone was hosting the bash. Britney had cake and people sang Happy Birthday to her.

OK! editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens says that, “Britney looked slim and pretty. I just kept thinking how much better it was this time around than the last time we spent time with her. We really hope this birthday and her new age will be a turning point.”

The ‘gifting suites at the mansion’ made sure Britney got all sorts of crazy shit for her birthday.

$30,000 in fur coats
A $10,000 diamond and gold ring
$4,000 in Barito brand sunglasses
Various t-shirts and hair products

I like the ‘hair products’. I wonder what hair stuff they threw her way. Hopefully some better extensions, and maybe a little shampoo..

Dennis Rodman Slaps Ass, Is One

Once again Dennis Rodman is being accused of getting touchy-feely with a female who was serving him.

And not serving him in THAT manner either.

A hotel employee in Las Vegas is claiming that Rodman sexually assaulted her on the job and says that she was subsequently fired because of it.

Sara Robinson, former bar manager at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, filed a lawsuit against Rodman which stems from an incident that occurred in March 2006. She says the repulsive has-been slapped her on her ass and rubbed himself against her.

The lawsuit alleges,

“As Robinson stepped around the bar, Rodman grabbed her, pulled her towards him and rubbed his body against hers. Robinson tried to get free from Rodman’s grasp at which time he assaulted her by reaching down and slapping her open-handed on the bottom.”

Robinson is seeking unspecified damages.

She is also naming the Hard Rock hotel/casino in the suit, claiming she was fired after filing a statement about Rodman following a separate incident in April 2006, in which he supposedly caused quite a scene. She alleges her ex-employer failed to protect her against Rodman’s actions.

Rodman was also named in another incident involving a waitress in Los Angeles who claimed he swatted her tush as well.

Just another case of a loser asshole who has nothing better to do but strut his stuff in places where people are forced to treat him like he’s somebody important. Casinos do this often, and staff members are forced to put up with their abuse, diva demands and sometimes belittling. I have seen it happen over and over. (I used to be in the business.) Some quasi-celebrity comes in the joint, has a little money and look out. He owns the place. Disgusting. Just like Rodman.

UPDATE: Dennis Rodman is denying allegations and his manager had this to say,

“Security was watching the whole incident and apparently did nothing. The hotel knows Dennis very well, and if they felt this woman was in harm’s way, then why didn’t they do anything about it? And waiting a year and a half is very peculiar. Anyone that knows Dennis knows that he would never hurt or harm anyone.”

The Truth Behind the Britney Spears Comeback from Hell

Sure, Britney Spears might be trying to blame Sarah Silverman and everyone else for her poor performance at the VMAs Sunday, but the truth is, she caused her own demise.

According to Page Six, Britney not only showed up for the event late, she also had a cocktail in hand.

Britney was supposed to be at a live rehearsal Saturday at 1pm. She didn’t arrive in Sin City until 4:30pm.

One source said,

“She didn’t even get to Las Vegas until 4:30 p.m. It was ridiculous. The production people at MTV were freaking out. Nobody can tell Britney what to do anymore. No one can control her. She is a mess.”

You would think that as soon as she touched down she would be high tailing it to rehearsal, but that wasn’t the case. Britney headed straight for her room where she ordered a hefty amount of food and some frozen margaritas! (So that’s why she was so bloated looking..) She didn’t come down for over an hour.

When Britney finally arrived at rehearsal she was an immediate pain in the ass. She refused to try and learn difficult dance moves and absolutely hated the outfit MTV had wanted her to wear. The ensemble, which reportedly looked much better than what she actually wore, included a corset and would have looked a million times better on her according to sources.

A source who was at the rehearsal said,

“The dance number was spectacular – without her. When the stand-in was rehearsing with the dancers, in the hours they were all waiting for her, it was amazing. Then Britney showed up and refused to do anything. The dancers were supposed to lift and twirl her in the air a few times, and that just wasn’t going to happen. The more complicated dance moves had to be erased because she couldn’t do them.”

“MTV wanted her to wear a corset outfit. It would have looked great and covered a lot of things up, but she hated it and didn’t think it was sexy enough.”

Another source says the dancers were terrified of performing with Britney in front of the world and knew she wouldn’t give it her all.

“The dancers were texting pals, asking them to pray for them. They were worried.”

Andy Dick’s neighbors can’t stand the loser coke head.

I can’t blame them there.

Dick was living up to his name last night when he was pissing his neighbors off by throwing beer bottles into their yard in West Hollywood. They called the police at 9:50pm after having enough of his childish junkie behavior. Of course, as always with celebrities lately, he as given a warning. (Grrr…) Not even three hours later another call was received, this time it was a noise complaint. Once again proving that celebrities really are above the law, Dick was issued a second warning.

TMZ is now reporting that the city of WeHo will file a misdemeanor complaint against Dick if he has any further complaints about noise or parties at his residence. Even the Principal of Rosewood Elementary School which isn’t too far from Andy’s home, has sent a complaint to the city complaining of Dick’s partying ways.

I am so sick and tired of reporting on loser coke fiends in Hollywood getting away with f***ing everything! It’s maddening. And Andy Dick? EVERYONE knows what a coke head this guy is…oh, except the police. Yeah right.
Hollywood is one f***ed up town.

Nick Hogan Caught for Speeding Three Times in One Year

Nick Hogan has only had his drivers license for one year and yet he has already received three speeding tickets.

All three times he was traveling at high rates of speed. 115 mph in a 70 mph zone, 57 mph in a 30 mph zone, and 106 miles mph in a 70 mph zone.

It seems Nick never learned his lesson. You would think daddy might have taken the car from him after ticket number one. Maybe two…but this kid was still driving after three major speeding tickets? Screw me over once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me. Screw me three times? Hulk you’re a moron. Teach your kid that there are repercussions for your actions. Same story, different Hollywood kid.

And being as Nick’s never had a job in his life, daddy Hogan has been the one to pay for Nick’s mistakes. This time he is going to have to pay big time.

I wonder what kind of car daddy Hogan will buy him next?

Did Paris Hilton Receive Special Treatment in Jail?

The Sheriff’s Department opened an investigation Thursday into allegations that Paris Hilton received special treatment during her 23 days in jail for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case, authorities said.

The internal probe will examine whether the hotel heiress was given free access to a cordless phone instead of being forced to wait in line to use a pay phone at certain hours, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

Also under scrutiny are claims Hilton received a new jail uniform instead of the recycled ones given to many inmates and that her mail was delivered by a captain instead of inmate trusties, Whitmore said.

The allegations were brought to the attention of the department’s union, the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, by its members, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday on its Web site.

Whitmore said the claims differ from the department’s own information about Hilton’s incarceration.

“We’re going to investigate it and get to the bottom of it and find out exactly what happened,” he said.

A message left with a Hilton spokesman late Thursday was not immediately returned.

The department was also accused of granting Hilton special treatment when Sheriff Lee Baca released the 26-year-old from jail after only three days for medical reasons. She was sent back to jail after one night.

Gee, I think it was pretty obvious that Paris received special treatment when she was released to go home after being ’suicidal’.
Hooray for the union and it’s members who raised a stink about this. I bet it was an embarrassment to them.

Paris Hilton Back Doing What She Does Best

For the first time since leaving jail, Paris Hilton hit the town.

Hilton, her sister Nicky, and a friend clubbed it up at Hollywood hot spot Les Deux Friday night.

Paris also had a couple of body guards accompany her party.

Paris was her usual attention whore self, dancing on a couch in the middle of the club hoping to be noticed by every eye in the house. Club Les Deux played up to the bitches ego by playing her lame ass song, ‘The Stars are Blind’.

Yeah, she’s changed.

Diana Ross is a Pain in the Ass

In a new biography simply called, ‘Diana Ross’, by J. Randy Taraborrelli, Ross is described as a woman who let her fame go to her head. And how.

The book claims Ross treated her staff terribly, one time even firing all 8 people working for her and then writing a letter trying to have them blacklisted everywhere.

The letter said: “If I let an employee go, it’s because either their work or their personal habits are not acceptable to me. I do not recommend these people. In fact, if you hear from these people and they use my name as a reference, I wish to be contacted.”

At least two of the former employees sued the star for millions of dollars.

Diana once hit an airline staff member over the head with a hat box that contained a small dog. She later claimed she was unaware the box contained the animal.

Taraborrelli writes: “Most of the time, Diana’s emotional outbursts were about things that really didn’t matter much to anyone but her.”

Other claims made in the book include ‘avert the eyes’ becoming the catchphrase used to announce Ross’ arrival as she insisted no one make eye contact with her.

Ross demanded dressing rooms were redecorated and “made to look like a star’s dressing room”.

Even Ross’ then-nine-year-old daughter, Tracee carried a notebook and pencil everywhere she went to keep a list of employees she thought were acting improperly.

Taraborrelli also alleges Ross upstaged Florence Ballard – who was axed from The Supremes and who was the basis for Jennifer Hudson’s ‘Dreamgirls’ character Effie – at Ballard’s funeral.

The book claims Ross marched from her front-row pew to the altar, took the microphone and announced, “Mary and I would now like to have a silent prayer.”

Taraborelli claims Supremes member Mary Wilson was sitting discreetly at the back of the church, and “the last thing she wanted to do was go up to the altar and be the center of attention”.

The new book is scheduled to hit shelves in September.

"I have served several sentences for civil rights and civil disobedience actions and I even fasted which caused health concerns to prison authorities who paid for a doctor to come see me daily rather than release me. This act smacks of the double standards that many of us raise."
