Brooke Hogan at Z100’s Jingle Ball in New York

Monday, December 18th, 2006

Everytime I hear Brooke singing or see pics of her performing, I always remember what I heard daddy Hulk say once.

That he had invested about $3 million into Brooke’s career.

So THAT’s how she got the gig!

Victoria Beckham Temporarily Snubbed by Photographers

Monday, December 4th, 2006

At the Bambi Arts Awards, Victoria handed out an agreement for photographers to sign which stated she wanted copies of all the snaps and the ability to use them for promotional purposes.

The document also limited the number of photographs that could be published of Victoria in her hideous Osaka Hilton gown.

The agreement aslo asked that photogs keep from from revealing any confidential information they might learn about her during the Bambi Awards.

The Associated Press, Reuters and two German photo agencies rejected the agreement, so in desperation organizers drew up a separate agreement allowing them to cover the event as long as they promised only to take photos of Victoria on the red carpet.
AP ditched the event altogether while some other photographers agreed but refused to photograph Victoria, to make a point.

David LaChapelle Says Madonna is Cruel & Nasty

Monday, November 27th, 2006

French Magazine, ‘Paris Match’ interviews phenomenal photographer, David LaChapelle and the shutterbug had no problem with giving the dish on Madonna and her evil ways.

Paris Match: You were about to direct “Hung Up”, the video of the single for Madonna’s latest album. You did not do it. What happened ?

David LaChapelle: I had written the scenario, was paid for the concept. But after “Rize“, when I started to analyze what made me happy or not, I understood that she was not the person with who I wished to collaborate. She is nice when you are alone with her, but when you work for her, she can be very… I don’t find the word… nasty. She is with people she employs. I didn’t want to be tortured.

Paris Match: She would have done it ?

David LaChapelle: Yes. I don’t have anything against difficulties. But there, that would not have been pleasant. I would not have had fun. However it is the environment which makes that my photographs are what they are. I never force people. There must have joy on the set. With her, this ingredient would have missed. Even when we were only talking about the project, she has been very hard. There is a part of cruelty in her.

Paris Match: You are one of rare people to speak about Madonna in so tough terms…

David LaChapelle: I am free. All must not be sweet. I don’t like weak ways either. I don’t speak about that, I speak about propriety. Shouting a video, that means weeks of collaboration close to the person… If the situation is negative, it’s better to avoid it if you can. I can.

If Only More Celebrities Were Like Ed Norton..

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

Take notes, JHo..

Actor Edward Norton is leading a celebrity charge to banish lavishing gift baskets on presenters at top awards shows.

The Illusionist star is appalled by the freebies celebrities pick up backstage at events like the Golden Globes and the Oscars, while many people watching the ceremonies at home are struggling to pay the rent and feed their kids.

He says, “A lot of us have talked to the Academy Awards producers about this and I think they’re actually going to scuttle the gift baskets and that kind of stuff. I mean the gift baskets, worth amounts of money that a low income family could live on for a year, (are given to) people who have so much already. It gets depressing. You sit there, going, ‘This is an embarrassment.’”

JLo Acts a Diva in Rome

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

I’m sure this is quite shocking to you. JLo, the diva.

But not only a diva, just a plain vain bitch! So much for ‘Jenny on the block’ being ‘real’.

Riiiight…

Jennifer Lopez has been accused of diva-like behaviour at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding.

The singer-and-actress reportedly made a series of outlandish demands to ensure she looked her very best for the wedding last Saturday.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: “Tom and Katie kindly arranged for a private plane to bring some of their more famous friends to Italy for their wedding. “Hours before Jada Pinkett Smith, Leah Remini and Cameron Crowe boarded, Jennifer Lopez sent her assistant to lay all her belongings on all the best seats!”

J.Lo made sure all eyes were on her for the pre-wedding dinner at Nino restaurant on Thursday night.

The source revealed: “The welcome dinner was supposed to be casual. But Jennifer, of course, wore a gown. So much for casual!”

Lopez also reportedly demanded her hairstylist, Ken Paves, flew into Rome to ensure her hair was looking perfect for the big day. Another source claims Paves was already booked to style bride Katie’s hair.

The 37-year-old is said to have continued to expect special treatment after the wedding had finished. She demanded hotel staff deliver her and husband Marc Anthony a bag of food at 2.30am on Sunday before they left for the airport, so she wouldn’t have to eat plane food.

KFed’s Hospitality Rider

Friday, November 10th, 2006

This is reportedly Kevin’s hospitality rider. In other words, this is what he requests to be backstage for him before a show.

You just KNEW Dorito’s would be on the list!

For example, Public Enemy says only kosher foods and no alcohol, Mariah Carey likes a bottle of Cristal and her water to be exclusively Evian..and not chilled, The Killers are fucking boozehounds, The Village People collect t-shirts and request 8 t-shirts per venue, John Mayer is heavy into organic foods but also loves ‘kids cereal’, Britney loves her Doritos and Xtina loves her chewable vitamins.

The Smoking Gun has a ton of other celebs hospitality riders.
