Mike Tyson’s daughter Exodus Tyson has died after being accidentally hanged by a cord.

She was only 4-years-old.

On Monday around 10:30 A.M. Exodus was playing around the family’s treadmill when she became caught in a cord that was attached to the machine. She was unable to free herself and was discovered by her 7-year-old brother.

Paramedics performed CPR on the girl and she was rushed to a nearby hospital. She was put on life support but died Tuesday just before noon.

The family released the following statement:

“There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.”

Mike Tyson’s four-year-old daughter was found hanging from a cord Monday morning and is in “extremely critical” condition.

Exodus Tyson was found by her 7-year-old brother who discovered her hanging from a cord that was attached to a treadmill in the family’s Phoenix home. He got his mother, who released the child, called 911 and tried to revive Exodus.

Police Sgt. Andy Hill described the tragic accident:

“Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there’s a cord that hangs under the console — it’s kind of a loop. Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it.”

Paramedics performed CPR on the girl before transporting her to St. Joe’s hospital.

Tyson was in Las Vegas when the accident happened but immediately flew home to be with his family.

British actress Lucy Gordan was  found hanged in her Paris apartment at the age of 28.

She killed herself yesterday morning as her boyfriend slept. It was two days before her 29th birthday.

When the boyfriend awoke, he discovered what she had done and ran for help. However, it was too late.

Her father, Richard Gordon, said:

“We have always been immensely proud of her and her achievements. We love her so much. She was called Lucy and she has lived up to that: she has been the light of our lives, me and my wife Sue, and daughter Katie. She was a lovely, generous, unselfish person who gave her all for others and thought of others before herself. She has been the most beautiful daughter. We are obviously devastated.”

Gordan starred in the 2001 film Perfume, played the reporter in Spiderman 3 and filmed The Four Feathers with the late Heath Ledger.

Motive for her suicide is not known, however, we do know that a close childhood friend of hers recently committed suicide as well.

World renowned skier and BASE jumper Shane McConkey was killed today after being involved in a ski-BASE accident.

McConkey, 39, was filming a movie in the Italian Dolomites for Matchstick Productions when the tragedy occurred.

He had planned on doing just what he had done 700+ times before: jumping off what witnesses say was a 400-foot cliff in his “wing suit,” deploying his parachute, then gliding to the ground. But something went terribly wrong. Filmmaker and friend of McConkey’s, Scott Gaffney, described the accident:

“He did a double backflip off the jump and he has these releasable bindings so they come off in the air and then he flies off in his wing suit. But one ski did not come off. And when that happens the drag on the skis causes you to flip over, so the skis go over your head. So he was struggling with the one ski.

“Then he also got into a bad spin. So he may have never even pulled his pilot chute. And that’s coming from JT Holmes, who Shane was with in Italy and who reviewed the footage of the accident. So the combination of the ski, the spin and the pilot chute, apparently. Because you can’t throw the pilot chute like that; if you throw it while you’re upside down and it wraps around the ski, you’re done.”

McConkey died upon impact.

He leaves behind a wife, Sherry, and a daughter, Ayla.

Aasha Davis’ sister went missing six weeks ago after getting into an argument with her husband.

Police have been unable to locate Lesley Herring, 46, and her husband Lyle is refusing to cooperate authorities.

Detective Chris Gable says that Lyle is not a suspect at this point even though he has refused to fully cooperate.
“I would describe his cooperation as fragmented and less than helpful, not someone I would expect as a grieving husband,” he said. He adds that Lyle recently received threats over money owed to someone.

During a recent television interview Mr. Herring plead with his wife to return home and he denied any wrongdoing.

Aasha reported her sister missing after she failed to show up for work. The Friday Night Lights star said of her sibling, “She is a creature of habit. And this is why her disappearance is so alarming to us.”

Liam Neeson and his family have released the following statement about the passing of Natasha Richardson.

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Natasha Richardson’s family has decided to take the actress off life support after she was critically injured in a bizarre fall.

Richardson was in Montreal, Canada when she suffered a fall while taking a beginner’s ski lesson. Instructors say she seemed fine for an hour afterward but then began complaining of a headache. Shortly after she was rushed to the hospital.

Rumors have abounded in the past 24+ hours, including erroneous reports of her death yesterday.

Natasha, who is the wife of Liam Neeson, daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and sister to actress Joely Richardson, was flown to New York’s Lennox Hill hospital where family was expected to hold vigil.

We have learned that Richardson suffered bleeding between her brain and skull causing her to be brain dead. No other details are currently known.

Our condolences to Natasha’s loved ones. Truly terrible news.

I reported earlier [link] about the tragic ski accident in Quebec that critically injured Liam Neeson’s wife, actress Natasha Richardson.

Since then, Time Out New York has reported that Richardson has died. However, they soon after retracted their statement and pulled their website down.

Gawker has kept tabs on it all, and says that the site is now back up – but the original link is missing. Time Out is still saying that Natasha is not expected to live through her injuries.

Many sites are already prematurely reporting her death.

TMZ claims that she is being currently transported from a Montreal hospital to one in New York, but from all the sporadic reports it sounds like nobody knows for sure if she is dead or alive.

Terribly sad. Our thoughts go out to Natasha’s friends and family.

UPDATE:

* Time Out is now reporting that Natasha is brain dead and that the family is “treating it as  a death.” Natasha was taking a ski lesson for beginners when, at some point, she took a spill. Initially she seemed fine, joking to instructors and laughing. But as time passed she began complaining of a headache as was taken to the hospital.

* TMZ says that Natasha is NOT brain dead but has some brain swelling. (See, there are SO many varying reports at this time!)

Nick Schuyler is the only boater to be found after he and three others went missing off the Florida coast Saturday.

The vessel, which was found overturned with Schuyler clinging to it, was located Monday afternoon.

Other NFL players Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, have not been found.

Schuyler claims the boat was flipped over by a wave on Saturday.

He is being treated for hypothermia and will talk more with authorities once stabilized.
