Larry Birkhead has testified in the inquest regarding the death of Anna Nicole’s son, Daniel Smith.

Birkhead testified that Daniel may have stole drugs from Anna and that his bizarre behavior had escalated before his death.

He stated that Daniel and some friends stole methadone from Anna at her home in April 2006. He said that Daniel was caught after Anna had checked surveillance cameras and discovered her son was the culprit.

Birkhead made statements to police in 2006 that Anna, Daniel and Howard K. Stern (who testifies today) had all smoked pot together. But when asked about it under oath he claimed he wasn’t sure that’s exactly what he saw. Rigghhhtt.

He also told cops in 2006 that Anna gave Daniel the drug Ecstasy, but once again on the stand Birkhead said he didn’t recall for sure. Uh-huh.

Birkhead added that between January and May of 2006 he witnessed marked changes in Daniel’s behavior. He claims he saw Daniel throw a TV through a window. He also said that it was common for Daniel to be out all night long with Anna at home worrying.

Another example of kids growing up to follow in their parents footsteps. Anna set the example and her child followed. It’s pretty cut and dry. If only she could have gotten her sh*t together she may have saved both their lives.

The National Enquirer is reporting the shocking news that Patrick Swayze only has five weeks to live.

Swayze, 55, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late January and apparently it has spread to other organs.

He has been receiving ‘radical chemotherapy’ treatment at Stanford University’s cancer center in Palo Alto but doctors fear there is no more they can do for him. The three major doses he received did shrink the tumor, but less than expected.

A source said, “He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure.”

“It’s time to start praying for a miracle.”

He has reportedly been told to prepare for the end of his life. Patrick has lost more than 20 pounds in the last few weeks and can barely keep solid foods down.

This is just terrible, terrible news. Cancer is such an ugly disease! It’s very hard on everyone involved - unfortunately I know from experience. Let’s hope the Enquirer is wrong about this and that Patrick continues to live a productive life - the magazine has gone overboard in celebrities diagnosis in the past…

Heidi Montag’s stepbrother Eric O’Hara, 24, died last Thursday while working on an icy roof in Colorado.

Eric was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. He was discharged from the Army only one month ago.

While working on the icy roof of the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel, Eric was changing position when he released a safety clip. Unfortunately, it was at that moment that a piece of ice broke, sending him sliding down and over the roof.

Heidi has released the following statement:

“Losing my brother, at an early age is such a tragedy. I just loved him more than anything. He was just so patriotic. He really wanted to go to Iraq and help and do all that he could for his country. He felt like it was his duty. I’ll really miss him.”

Terribly tragic and ironic..and a terrible way to die. Although I usually mock Heidi when I write about her, this is no laughing matter. I feel terrible for anyone who loses a loved one, especially tragically.

Did you notice last night during the Academy Awards‘ ‘In Memory of’ segment that Brad Renfro was completely left out?

I did, and a lot of you probably did too. TMZ also took notice and decided to contact the Academy to call them on it. And what did the Academy have to say in it’s defense? Well, it’s pretty disgusting really.

“It is simply not possible to include everyone in that segment.”

Are they serious? There were nearly 100 (98 to be exact) people in the business who had died in the past year who were mentioned. Everything from actors to makeup artists. And if you aren’t in the industry, there were many people that you had never even heard of who were remembered in the video.

A friend of the Renfro family called it “unbelievable and disgusting.”

I have to agree. I can’t help but think it was his cause of death (drug overdose) that led the Academy to completely ignore him.

Hollywood, screw you. When you all show up to the awards in your couture gowns with handbags and noses full of blow..

It just goes to show you how phony Hollywood is. When Brad was winning awards and was named as one of People’s Top 30 under 30 everyone loved him. But die of a heroin overdose and it’s like nobody knew him.

Here is the actual letter Lane Garrison, 27, wrote to Access Hollywood from prison. Garrison is serving 40 months for killing a 17 year-old in a DUI related accident.

I believe Garrison is truly sorry for what he did, and I think he will leave prison a changed man. I feel bad for him because he screwed up, he made a terrible mistake that cost a young man his life, but I don’t think he intended to hurt anyone. He thought he was invincible, like most young adults do. The “it’ll never happen to me,” mentality. But it does happen, and it happened to Lane. And I believe he has been humbled.

I hope when he gets out of prison he can persuade others not to drink and drive by sharing his story. He really can turn this into a positive. Hopefully the victim’s family can forgive him. If that can happen, I think his chances for leading a normal and possibly inspirational life after prison are good.

The Los Angeles County Coroner has finally confirmed the cause of death for Brad Renfro who was found dead in his home on January 15th.

Renfro died due to an accidental overdose of heroin. The drug had been injected. Official cause of death is “acute heroin/morphine intoxication.”

The cause of death for Heath Ledger has been determined to be an accidental overdose.

The New York City medical examiner stated,

“Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine. We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications.”

So Vicodin, Percocet, Valium, Xanax and sleeping pills. Quite a cocktail of meds there. Crimony, I can’t imagine taking all that. Seems excessive. I do know that most of that stuff stays in your system for some time, so perhaps he didn’t ingest them all at once…right? Who knows, still sad and tragic - no matter how you cut it.

Larry Birkhead took baby Dannielynn back to Nassau to visit her mother and brother’s graves for the first time. Fair enough. But it seems he decided to take a camera crew with them. Why?

Baby Dannielynn, now 17 months-old, was subjected to photographs and a reporter from Entertainment Tonight leering over her as she visited her family’s grave sites for the first time in her short life.

Is this fair to her? Sensationalizing the situation is terribly selfish and could be detrimental to the poor kid. But daddy seems to think it’s fine and so he let ET film everything and then told them how hard it is. “It’s tough,” he says. “Even though she doesn’t understand, it was important for us to come. One day I can tell her that we went to visit her mom.”

He makes it sound so innocent, but I can’t help but think the whole thing was plotted out like a photo shoot. All for some coin, I’m sure. Why else? I guess what really set it off for me was when I read about Dannielynn visiting the site.

Now that Heath Ledger has been dead for over a week, people are starting to come forward with tales of sex, drugs and desperation. Which stories are true, and which are purely manifested for financial purposes have yet to be seen. But one thing is for sure, the dirty laundry is starting to fly.

The latest drama is Entertainment Tonight and The Insider pulling a controversial video that was filmed after the SAG awards two years ago of Ledger reportedly snorting cocaine. Ledger is not only seen snorting a white substance through a rolled up dollar bill, he is also heard in the video saying he used to smoke 5 spliffs a day for 20 years.
****UPDATE: Nw reports state it is NOT Ledger snorting cocaine, it is of a party-goer. Big difference! Helloo!

PR firm, ID Public Relations, who has represented Ledger, released a statement Wednesday condemning the TV tabloids for planning to run the video, claiming they “purchased [the video] for a large sum of money in the hopes of stirring up a salacious and exploitive story about Heath, which would win them big ratings on the first day of sweeps.”

The pressure was enough and producers pulled the clip. Entertainment Tonight states on their website,

“Out of respect for Heath Ledger’s family, “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider” have decided not to run the Heath Ledger video which has been circulating in the world media.”

Out of respect to the family? Laughable. C’mon ET, you’re not fooling anyone.
