Christina Aguilera recently admitted that she was abused by her father at a young age.

Aguilera, who is now estranged from her father, says that the abuse inspired her to use music as an outlet for her pain.

“I witnessed a lot of unpleasant things – a lot of pushing and shoving and fighting and quarreling. Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.”

Her father, an ex-U.S. Army Sargeant, has since tried to make amends but the pop star says she is not interested in reconnecting with him. “I let him back into my life briefly but I soon realised that he is not necessary in my life.”

Aguilera claims that her father terrorized her, her mother Shelly and sister Rachel, during the time that her parents were together.

Shelly says that she once found Christina with a bloody chin. “I scooped her up and said, ‘Oh my God. What’s wrong?’ She told me, ‘Daddy wanted to take a nap and I made too much noise.’” She eventually left him.

I know Christina and her mother are extremely close and I’m sure the abuse made their relationship stronger. Sorry about your luck, daddy. Who knew she would grow up to be a millonaire superstar? Karma is such a bitch. Heh.

Christina Aguilera has signed on to make her film debut, co-starring opposite Cher, for the movie BURLESQUE.

Xtina will play an ambitious small-town Iowa girl with a big voice who comes of age in a neo-burlesque club in Hollywood while Cher’s character is a former dancer who struggles to keep the club open and gives the young girl a chance to shine, all while saving her dying establishment in the meantime. It’ll be Cher’s first role since TEA WITH MUSSOLINI in 1999, but enough about that old bag…

Christina Aguilera in a movie… one can only hope it is some mix between MOULIN ROUGE and Aguilera’s “Dirrty” video. Oh, Christina… you naughty, naughty girl. One can also hope that one day someone just makes a movie about Christina Aguilera’s breasts. The Kidd would easily drop 10 bucks to sit and watch that display… a few times a week during one of those matinees where I have the theatre all to myself. Quick… someone get my agent on the phone… let’s make this happen.

As for this movie, I remember already seeing this movie back when it was called COYOTE UGLY and it took place in a bar and it wasn’t ruined by the sight of Cher… but that one got me off then, so I imagine this one can do the same now. Hmmm… where did I put that DVD? Carry on… there’s nothing to see here.

The couple attended The Faint and Ladytron gig at Music Box at Fonda, then headed to The Room in Hollywood for some post-concert drinks.

She could really be so damn cute if she lightened up on the damn warpaint!

Serious, like a pale pink lipstick, a shimmery soft eyeshadow, it would really make all the difference in the world. She has such beautiful skin, but it’s overshadowed by all that makeup! A little pigment in her hair wouldn’t hurt either. It’s just too much of everything.

And blue eyeshadow?! That shiz will NEVER be back in style!

1991 was a big breakthrough year for both Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.

Before either of these girls even hit puberty they were performing. And to think they were only 10 and 11 years old! What were YOU doing at that age?

A little awkward for an 11-year-old to be singing such a “grown-up” song, but even back then Xtina was set on being a sultry singer who could belt out tunes with the best of them.

What do you guys think about Christina Aguilera’s latest attempt at reinventing herself?

“You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure. I really don’t spend any time on the Internet, so I guess I live a little under a rock in that respect.”

I am SO OVER Christina Aguilera, even if  she is an amazing performer and singer..

Not that I have ever been her biggest fan or anything, but when she first created her 40s pin-up look, with the curled hair, red lips and the chic retro wardrobe I thought it was pretty hot.

But not surprisingly she has morphed right back into the old Xtina.

TONS of eye makeup, ratty white hair extensions, and plunging necklines. Back to the Dirrty days.

This is Christina’s new commercial for Target, which is similar to her new video for the single, ‘Keeps Getting Better’

My favorite part of the ad is when Xtina looks in the mirror and sees comic book version of herself. I think the artist must have misunderstood who he was drawing because it sure looks like Christina Applegate!
