Whitney Houston on X-Factor, 10/18/2009 video

Whitney Houston sang “Million Dollar Bill” on Britain’s X-Factor Sunday evening, in her first UK television appearance in 12 years.

I wouldn’t exactly say it was a success.

Whitney suffered a wardrobe malfunction in the middle of her performance (no bobbies popped out or anything), her singing was sub-par (even if some of it was prerecorded) and she seemed “out of it” when questioned by the host afterwards.

I was on Twitter during her performance and was reading through people’s comments. I kept hearing how she looked high/stoned. So of course I knew I had to see the video to judge for myself. And sadly, I have to say I agree. She was definitely on something! She was completely distracted and couldn’t even tell the guy when her album came out!

Everyone wants to see Whitney succeed, but I think her comeback will be short-lived. Her voice is shot and the old Whitney is gone. Sad but true!

Whitney Houston on Oprah

Whitney Houston spoke candidly with Oprah Winfrey during an interview with the talk show queen.

She went into detail about the abuse she endured while married to Brown. She claims he was very emotionally abusive. She claims that in one instance he actually spit on her, and that provoked her to hit him over the head with a phone, drawing blood. She says their daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was coming down the stairs at the time and saw everything.

She admits that she loved her husband, even going on to say that they had a lot of sex (ew, nice visual) and that loving him was her real addiction.

Whitney admitted that her life took a turn for the worse after her starring role in the film, The Bodyguard. That’s when, she says, she really started abusing drugs. Although she used cocaine and pot before the film it wasn’t all the time. But once her film, The Preacher’s Wife came out, she was drugging daily. She never admitted to smoking crack, but did say she was free-basing.

She credits her mother, Cissy Houston, with saving her. She says her mother showed up at her doorstep with a court junction telling her it was either rehab or giving up her dream.

“One day my mother came to my house. She walks in with these sheriffs and she says, ‘I have a court junction [sic] here. Either you’re gonna do it my way or we’re just not gonna do this at all. We’re both gonna go on TV and you’re gonna retire. This is not worth it.’”

She adds that Bobby was home at the time but momma Cissy wasn’t having any of him.

“She said, ‘If you move, Bobby, they’re gonna take you down. Don’t you make one move.’ He stood there like he was scared. She said, ‘I’m not losing you to the world, I’m not losing you to Satan, I’m not doing this. I want my daughter back.’”

Whitney Houston performs on Good Morning America

Whitney Houston is BACK!

Whitney performed on today’s Good Morning America, her first performance in years.

Whitney sang, “I Look to You”, “Million Dollar Bill”, and “Every Woman”.

Before singing “I Look to You” Whitney pointed her mother out in the crowd saying, “I owe this to my mother”.

The song itself is quite touching, a definite representation of what she has been through over the past five years. It seemed as though Whitney was telling us of her struggles, and finally, of her successes. You couldn’t help but be touched by the performance, in the crowd there were many tears. Whitney seemed to be extremely appreciative of her audience, acknowledging them throughout her performance.

She looked beautiful, as usual, in black leather pants, a silver flowing blouse and curls that softly framed her face.

It’s so nice to see such a success story. Girlfriend has been through hell and somehow managed to, once again, rise to the top.

Saved by the Bell Reunion Photo

The cast of Saved by the Bell has reunited for a photo for the latest People magazine cover. The reunion, which includes cast members Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessan, Lark Voorhies, Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez, omits one specific little prick. Dustin Diamond as Screech! YAY! I can’t stand that conceited (for no reason), pompous, jerkoff! They even edited him out of the original Saved by the Bell photo! Genius!

Actually, the reason they left Screech out of the shots is that he is releasing a tell-all book about the cast and his experience on the show. Which YOU KNOW is going to be filled with a bunch of rubbish. This guy will say or do anything for the media’s attention, which he so desperately craves.

To me, he is right up there with good ol’ Piggez Hilton!

Whitney Houston’s long awaited comeback album finally has a release date.

The album will be released worldwide September 1, 2009 on Arista Records. This is Whitney’s 7th studio album.

I hope it does well. I’m not the biggest fan of her music, but you have to root for someone who went from mega superstar to ravaged crackhead. She managed to pull herself out of her drug addled world that she shared with ex-husband Bobby Brown and that is huge. I’ll be honest, I never thought it would happen.Good for her.

Whitney Houston is completely content with her new, positive, sober life and she wants to surround herself with optimism so that’s why she is refusing to do any sappy, sad songs on her new album.

Houston, who has not released an album since 2003, has been working on a comeback LP over the past year. The record is expected the hits stores by the end of 2009.

Whitney has been collaborating with Ne-Yo on the album. He says her new stuff is definitely a reflection of her new life.

He says, “People are expecting something fantastic and I think they are going to get it. Whitney doesn’t want any sad songs on this record. She isn’t going for tear jerkers. She’s happy raising her children and wants her music to reflect that. It’s already sounding great.”

It looks like it’s going to be an emotional National Anthem at this year’s Super Bowl.

Jennifer Hudson will be making her first public appearance since the October murders of her 57-year-old mother, 29-year-old brother and 7-year-old nephew to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on February 1st.

The news was confirmed by NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy today.

Hudson, 27, will also sing at the Grammy Awards, (February 8), where she is nominated four times, a week later.

No, seriously..I think a bunch of parts of other women were used to create this (what is rumored to be) upcoming album cover of Whitney Houston’s.

I have a hard time believing this is the real deal, but it is surely entertaining nonetheless.

When I say that I love the 80s, trust me, these fools were not what, or who, I had in mind.

Even when I was a young, sweet and innocent teenager (heh) I had no love for boy bands. In fact, I can’t really think of any boy bands I went gaga over. It just wasn’t my thing. Maybe it was the love songs they sang while sounding like their nuts were in a vice, or maybe it was the corny ass choreography and cheesy lyrics.

Probably a combination of all three.

So really, I could have cared less when New Kids on the Block announced that they were going to reunite. Not only couldn’t I have cared, I was actually shocked! I thought, ‘Aren’t these guys embarrassed of their past? Don’t they remember how incredibly bad they sucked?!’ I would think they would have wanted to just leave that part of their professional careers alone and kinda sweep it under the rug.

But I guess somehow the millions of records they have sold has convinced them that they are actually good…heh.

Here they are now, in concert at Madison Square Garden.  Let’s make fun of them, shall we?
