Britney Spears Circus TOUR FOOTAGE VIDEO

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Britney Spears Circus Tour Footage.

The first legal live video from Britney Spears’ Circus Live 2009 tour. Exclusive full performance of the song “Circus” in HD.

I loved the “ringleader” jacket she has on when she is lowered on stage! Why did she take it off so soon? She obviously had a hand in that sequined bra and panty outfit she wears, because it’s just like the one she wore during her dreaded “comeback” performance a couple years ago. The one she insisted on wearing despite her people telling her otherwise.. At least if she was going to take the jacket off she could have waited toward the end of the song.

The show is definitely eye-candy, but that’s about it. Pre-recorded music doesn’t excite me much.

Steven Tyler Falls Off Stage

Steven Tyler falls off stage during concert

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler fell off stage while performing for a crowd at a South Dakota concert early Thursday morning.

Tyler was dancing around on stage, trying to entertain the crowd after the band’s sound system failed after they performing the song “Love in an Elevator”.

Going Down? Heh, sorry I had to throw that in there..

The concert, a part of the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally, was held at the Buffalo Chip Campground.

Tyler, 61, had to be airlifted from the scene. He suffered head, neck and shoulder injuries. He seemed in good spirits though. He laughed about the fall with paramedics as he was going loaded into the helicopter.

The extent of Tyler’s injuries are not known at this point. He is most likely being treated at Rapid City Regional Hospital, the only major hospital in Western South Dakota.

Mike Sanborn, spokesperson for the Buffalo Chip Campground, explained how it happened: “He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand. He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage.”

Tyler then fell down into the crowd, landing on a few fans below. As he got back on stage with the help of security, the crowd roared. A physician immediately tended to him.

Just after midnight, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry told the crowd that the band could not go on and that Tyler had to be taken away for treatment.

Poor Steven! He is not a very big guy, in fact, he looks kind of frail! Hopefully he didn’t sustain any major injuries. Head and neck injuries can be a terrible thing! Best wishes to you Steven!

No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont reunite to perform in concert at Rexall Place in Vancouver, Canada.

Gwen is amazing and I love her with No Doubt! She was great while doing the solo thing too, but still, it was never like it was when she was with the band..

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Two workers who were constructing Madonna’s concert stage at the Velodrome stadium in Marseille, France were killed after the roof of the stage collapsed unexpectedly.

Madonna was expected the perform there on Sunday, but the concert has since been canceled.

Madonna released this statement after the tragedy: “I am devastated to have just received this tragic news. My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news.”

Below: During her concert in Italy Thursday she paid tribute to the two men, and was choked up while speaking to the audience. The crowd, however, seemed more interested in Madge than what she was actually saying..

FREE Daughtry Concert Seattle: WIN VIP Tickets!

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Seattle Daughtry fans, have I got a nice little goody for you!

Next weekend Chris Daughtry plays a FREE show at the Paramont Theater, which is pretty cool, right? Well, you and I both know how small that venue is, and so obviously seats are going to be limited, whether you have a ticket or not! Yes, people will most likely be turned away.

So, here is where I come into play.

I have 5 PAIRS of PREMIERE Daughtry tickets to giveaway thanks to the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush concert series!

So what is a “Premiere” ticket you ask?

Well, for starters, you won’t have to wait in the massively LONG (and I mean LONG) general admission line to get in. That is the line everyone will be in. You, however, will bypass them all by going to the “RESERVED” line. BUT you MUST be there BY 6:00 PM, because if you are not there, tough luck, they will start letting in the General Admission crowd. Get there on time and get in before everyone else!

Please only enter this contest if you are in the Seattle area or will be on July 17th!

This is a Twitter contest, see above widget for details on how to enter, it is EASY!

Contest runs now through 9:00 AM PST Monday, July 13th! Good luck!
Winners will be notified Monday evening – Tickets will be sent to you via EMAIL so you will have them right away!

Flashback 2001: U2 “Until the End of the World” at Slane Castle

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

This is a great song by a phenomenal band.

The story behind this  particular show is pretty interesting. There was a lot going on in the life of Bono and his homeland of Ireland during this time. This is most likely one of the band’s most memorable shows (of the many).

From Wikipedia:

U2 Go Home: Live from Slane Castle is a concert video release by rock band U2 from the European leg of their Elevation Tour. Recorded on 1 September 2001 at Slane Castle on the band’s featured stop in County Meath, Ireland, it was released on DVD in November 2003. Although Slane Concerts at Slane Castle are traditionally held once a year, U2 played two concerts. This was the final concert of the first European leg of the Elevation Tour.

The film was the second of two concert releases from the tour, preceded by 2001’s Elevation 2001: Live from Boston.

The film features the band playing it’s home town of Dublin to more than 80,000 people, the second of two concerts played at Slane Castle on the Elevation Tour. The performances were the band’s first at Slane since 1981 when they opened for Thin Lizzy. Bono had lost his father to cancer several days before the concert. Their first night at Slane was a day after his father was buried. U2 Go Home was filmed on Saturday 1 September 2001 the same day Ireland secured a place in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The match was shown to the football-crazy Irish crowd at Slane Castle prior to the concert, adding to the already festive air.

Watching them perform is simply magical.

Britney Spears’ Fans Love to Smoke

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

britney-concert

Britney Spears and her team of dancers were left struggling for fresh air at the show in Vancouver last night, causing Brit & co. to leave the stage for more than a half an hour.

The building was supposed to be smoke free but the Canucks insisted on smoking their ciggies and their cloves…and their weed.

After the stage cleared, a female voice announced to the crowd, “The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears. Please extinguish all cigarettes – this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared.”

It took more than a half hour for the smoke to dissipate, and in that time the crowd had become agitated and started booing the singer.

Britney eventually reappeared and continued on with the show. However she left her next song early, and when she came back out she pleaded with the crowd, “Vancouver, don’t smoke weed!”

After the show, Britney’s team put the following apology on the star’s website: “We want to apologize to all the fans who attended our Vancouver show tonight for the brief pause in Britney’s set. Crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue.”

Britney Spears Circus Tour Pics

Britney Spears kicked off her Circus tour in New Orleans, Louisiana Tuesday.

Britney danced and sang through a three-ring extravaganza, complete with contortionists, illusionists, aerialists. If you can believe it, Perez Hilton, who always talks smack about her, opened the night with a video montage.
