Retro Celebrity Couples

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Check out these fabulous photos of different couples who were smoking hot together years ago…

Emilio Estevez and Demi Moore

Emilio and Demi were a great couple. They were both young, gorgeous and the envy of Hollywood in the mid eighties. They met in 1984 and in 1987 ended their three-year engagement.

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed

Many cosmetic surgeries and two children later, Shannon and Gene are still together as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Did you know that George Clooney and Kelly Preston dated in the 1980’s?

It’s true.  Yep, Kelly must be kicking herself today.  She’s now married to a fat turkey who has to drag it up for movie roles..

Sean Penn and Madonna

Hot and heavy in the mid to late eighties, Sean and Madge were bound to butt heads.  They lasted longer than most expected, but after filming Shanghai Surprise their marriage went down the tubes.

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn

Another couple still around who surprisingly also never wed.  This boyfriend and girlfriend of many eons are still going strong.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman

Cruise and Kidman starred in the 1990 flick Days of Thunder and were soon after the hottest thing in Hollywood.  This of course was before Kidman overdosed on Botox and Cruise was rumored to be very, very gay.

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne

Yes, that really is Sharon before the many surgeries.  Sharon and Ozzy met when Sharon’s father managed Black Sabbath.  Ozzy credits her with saving his life. They’ve been married over 20 years.  Definitely one of Hollywood’s oddest couples.

Afternoon Briefs

Friday, December 1st, 2006

Afternoon Briefs- A little afternoon delight never hurt anyone..

Heather Mills says she has received many death threats in recent months and that she fears for her life. She adds that she is cannot afford bodyguards to protect her. Mills has said she is “severely upset and severely depressed” over her recent split with Paul, but said her personal trainer, Ben Amigoni, has been a big help. And not in a funny sort of way..

According to People Magazine, Prince William may be getting ready to ask his girlfriend, Kate Middleton to marry him.
Kate has been invited to the Queen’s country retreat to spend Christmas with the royal family. This is considered to be quite the honor. They have been together for five years, and met at a Scottish university as students.

Michael Richards plans to meet with the four African American men he went off on during his racist tirade.
The men and their lawyer, Gloria Allred, met with reporters in LA today to announce the meeting.
Richards is expected to offer an apology for the incident, and will likely pay a settlement. The meeting will be held after the first of the year.
An unnamed judge is expected to suggest after mediating the meeting what further steps Richards should take to make amends.
Kyle Doss, one of the men at the club, said he was “very hurt by what happened at the Laugh Factory”, and wants to let Richards know “how his words made us feel.”
Meanwhile bandwagon jumper & owner of The Laugh Factory, Jamie Masada, has banned Richards from performing there again. This, even though before all the media attention, and after the incident, Masada allowed Richards to perform the following night.

George Clooney says he shared a “brutal night” of drinking with Danny DeVito the night before DeVito’s appearance on “The View.” Matt Lauer interviewed Clooney, who said that it was possible that DeVito was “still drunk”that morning after a night of Limoncello shots.
“We were doing shots of limoncello and that’s all I have to say about it…I got to the point where I was dumping shots into the plant next to me. I don’t think Danny saw me do that.”
Way to play clean-up crew George.

Some Celebrities Actually Make a Positive Impact on The World

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

A reminder that they are not all drunken, coked-out, attention whore, freaks..

Celebrity-designed items up for auction at charity event

An exclusive range of collectible hand designed plates, mugs and saucers created by celebrity names will be auctioned at Reach Out To Asia’s (Rota) star-studded gala dinner at the Ritz-Carlton on November 4.
South Africa’s Archbishop Desmond Tutu, James Bond actor and Unicef goodwill ambassador Sir Roger Moore, Oscar winning actor, producer and director George Clooney, British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, Oscar winning actress Nicole Kidman, designer and head of the DKNY fashion empire Donna Karan, and one of the world’s most popular rock bands, Coldplay, have all contributed pieces for the auction.
“Successful bidders will take home the individual pieces and acquire the artist’s original artwork,”
a Rota release yesterday said.
The plates donated by Charlotte di Vita MBE, goodwill ambassador for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, are produced by 21st Century Leaders – a unique charity project that gathers artworks from leaders in all fields. These include royalty, Nobel peace laureates, and top names in film, music, sports and literature.
The artworks are used to create products such as wristbands, clothing, tableware, ethical cosmetics and stationery, all released under the Whatever It Takes charity campaign label. This ‘merchandise with a meaning’ is manufactured under fair working conditions and is sold to raise funds for charitable causes chosen by each contributing leader, with 100% of the net profits donated to charity.
The organization adopts a ‘no holds barred’ attitude in respect of the artwork, preferring to fly in the face of controversy even when presented with a somewhat less than ‘politically correct’ item. Hence their project name – Whatever It Takes.
Celebrities choose the message they would like to convey and prepare the artwork themselves.
To donate to the Reach Out To Asia fund-raising drive,
pledges can be made to the following bank account: QNB Account: Reach Out To Asia, Account Number: 0035-004919-001.”
