Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP newsletter gave her fans something to get excited about this month.

She announced that she’s been spring cleaning and decided to place some amazing designer clothing, shoes and accessories in her eBay store for charity! So for a very reasonable price you can own not only a designer piece, but one that was previously owned by Gwyneth herself!

I am going back to my day job this spring (filming a movie) and I am confronted with a few wardrobe issues. First of all, I never know what to wear in Los Angeles (are those pajamas??) and inexplicably, I am always freezing here. Having had a good look through the spring collections, I don’t think it’s necessary to make any sweeping changes. They are still selling gladiators that are almost identical to the ones I got last spring and there hasn’t been any major shift in silhouettes. I am going to stick with the classics and update a few simple pieces that are easy to wear. In keeping with the idea (as my mom says) of shopping in your closet, I recently did a good look-through and found some things that I will now call “vintage” as well as doing a big cathartic spring cleanout. I thought maybe I would eBay some of my favorite and most treasured things to raise some money for the Robin Hood Foundation, who do a lot of amazing work in New York City. So check it out if you are interested.

Personally, I like the Tod’s Black Leather Platform Sandal. At $147 these are a steal.  They probably sell for around $500, normally.

Gwyneth sizes are about 6/8 for clothing and an 8.5/9 for shoes. Of course the clothing is a little small for me, and the shoes, a little big! But if these are your sizes, go check out her stuff.  Seriously, there are quite a few items less than $100!

Gwyneth Paltrow has launched a new website where she tells you how inspiring she can be to you.

She named it, GOOP.

Each of the sections are named “Make,” “Go,” “Get,” “Do,” “Be,” and “See,” and every one you click on has the same “life lesson” straight to you from Gwyneth.

“My life is good because I am not passive about it. I want to nourish what is real, and I want to do it without wasting time. I love to travel, to cook, to eat, to take care of my body and mind, to work hard. I love being a mother who has to overcome my bad qualities to be a good mother. I love being in spaces that are clean and feel nice.”

“Make your life good. Invest in what’s real. Cook a meal for someone you love. Pause before reacting. Clean out your space. Read something beautiful. Treat yourself to something. Go to a city you’ve never been to. Learn something new. Don’t be lazy. Workout and stick with it. GOOP. Make it great.”

I love her bold statement at the end. “GOOP.” Like she is trying to coin a new term.

It’s all about the goop, bitches. Who knew it would be so simple?

But then again being born into wealth and fame, marrying it, and hanging out with Oprah and Madonna might have had something to do with it too.

I never pegged Gwyneth to be a baby making machine. But she does seem very happy being a mommy. Let’s just hope she doesn’t name the next kid Kiwi!
