Holly Montag and Sanjaya Malakar sure seemed to cozy up to one another during “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!”, fueling speculation that the two may be romantically involved.

Not true, says Holly, who is the sister of The Hills quasi-star, Heidi Montag. She insists that she and the former American Idol finalist are just good friends.

Holly told Us magazine: “We are not dating but just very close.”

As for the rumors, she says, “It was funny. I was shocked because we were such close friends, and I had no idea that anyone else thought there was anything romantic going on. People in camp joked about it, but we knew it was a joke so it was funny to us . . . We will continue our friendship forever. Sanjaya came out to visit me last week!”

Of course Spencer Pratt, Holly’s brother-in-law, had to chime in. So like him to just pop-in and talk about something only to turn it around and make it all about him..

And he does. Spencer said,  “I will very happily hand the famed cup of superstar couple on planet Earth to Sanjaya and Holly in a second. Go for it!”

I guess that means that he thinks he and Heidi are the “Famed superstar couple on planet Earth.”

I prefer to dub them the “Lame supertard couple burning a hole in our eyes on TV.”
