Kevin Federline is afraid that Britney Spears might kill their children.

He reportedly told his girlfriend Nicole Narain,

“Britney’s behavior has already put our kids at risk and I can’t let things get any worse. She’s lost all grasp on reality and is dragging the children through hell. Her mood swings are now so wild that I live in fear of getting a call telling me that she has killed herself. I can’t allow her to have custody because I seriously believe she could harm our sons. I’ve shared her life and I know she’s capable of anything with pills and a few drinks inside her.”

Nicole also claims that K Fed told her that the last straw was catching Britney breast-feeding Jayden while wasted on vodka. He told Nicole,

“Two weeks later she filed for divorce. I only found out when I heard it as a news item on the radio. I felt she was just trying to teach me a lesson for telling her off about the breast-feeding incident. But when I called she kicked off another row and screamed, ‘You’re nothing without me’. I never wanted a divorce but now I knew there was no option.”

Nicole said,

“Kevin is battling for his kids as he genuinely fears they are at risk. He never shouts and screams about Britney in front of me. He does speak openly about his concerns for his children though. According to Nicole, Kevin is especially worried about the damage Britney’s lifestyle is doing to their sons.”

“I was with Kevin on Monday morning when his kids turned up after spending time with Britney. He was overjoyed to see them, but deeply concerned about what they’d been through. On Monday he was treating Jayden for pink eye (conjunctivitis), and was worried Britney was to blame. He told me if they had joint custody he’d need two days just to get the children settled down and calm again after their stint away with Britney. He says she keeps them up and has no fixed routine which makes them over-stressed, over-tired and desperate for attention.

He has tried to get Britney to change her ways, but gets nowhere. He gets so upset when the kids are with her that he won’t switch on the TV as he knows there will be news footage of her with them in LA. He can’t bear to see them looking stressed, traumatized and disorientated as she carts them off on another jaunt around town, seemingly for no reason. That’s one of the key reasons why he went for custody in court.”

Nicole says Kevin is a great dad, and he creates a kid friendly environment for all of his children.

“Each of the lads has a bed in the shape of a Ferrari. The walls are painted with animals and shapes and are full up with toys. Sean’s room has a big toy train set around the outside. Jayden still has trouble sleeping, so Kevin has put an extra Ferrari bed in his own bedroom.”

Nicole adds that Kevin is not the party boy everyone thinks he is.

“He may have been a party animal in the past, but I haven’t seen him talk about or take drugs. He does like a bourbon and Coke, but he’ll have a couple of those and call it a night. He has his home and that’s where he spends most of his time now. I feel sorry for Britney. She has lost the love of a very caring, passionate and intelligent man. At the moment his priority is fighting for his children.”

Britney Spears’ own words may come back to haunt her – big time! Star has learned exclusively that Brit’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has taken his fight to win full custody of their two young sons to a powerful new level: He and his Beverly Hills attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, have obtained sworn affidavits from three former Spears employees – a nanny and two bodyguards – detailing horrific examples, says a source close to the investigation, of Brit’s lack of parenting skills!

What those affidavits allegedly reveal about Britney and how she treats Sean Preston, 23 months, and Jayden James, 11 months are shocking and disturbing. And they could prove to be the straw that shifts custody to Kevin.

According to the source, the former nanny claimed that Britney “gives the kids soda sand coffee with cream and sugar. She also lets them sit in soiled diapers for hours until someone else changes them. And she keeps both children up late at night to ensure they sleep late – this includes waking them up if they fall asleep before 11 pm. Plus, Britney doesn’t personally feed the kids – the nanny or bodyguard does.”

But that’s not the worst of it. “When Britney is upset, she yells and screams at the boys and once told them, ‘You were both mistakes!’ She’s called them ‘burdens, a pain in the ass and the reason [your] father left,’” says the source. “Anyone who would tell their child that is heartless. I’m sure Britney loves her children, but she must believe that having kids with Kevin was a mistake.”

Another source says Kevin is also concerned about Britney’s sex life, afraid that she’s been promiscuous in front of the kids.

“Kevin was even told in so many words that Britney was pregnant a few weeks back,” says the second source. “He had a meltdown over this. Kevin feels the people around Britney are looking the other way. Now he’s determined to have them hauled into court to answer to a judge about Britney’s actions involving his kids.”

Kevin’s suspicions about what’s happening at Britney’s house may not be so far fetched, insiders say.

The nanny swears Britney has men over to her house in Beverly Hills all the time, and she introduces them to the boys as “their uncles,” says the first source, adding, “Britney does carry on with men in front of the boys, kissing and hugging. She runs around half-naked in front of her kids with the men she has over.”

The source says the affidavits seem to indicate Britney thinks of the boys as “accessories” and that’s she’s more concerned about their appearance than their well-being.

“Britney reportedly doesn’t even know how to brush Sean’s teeth, and they look awful,” says the source. “She tried to whiten his teeth using Crest Whitestrips, but he kept crying. Finally, Britney threw the strips away, telling Sean, ‘Fine, you’ll just have ugly teeth then!’”

What’s even sadder are claims that Britney drinks heavily at night, which usually results in her passing out. The close source adds, “The nanny also told Kevin and his attorney that she has ‘seen Ms. Spears take pills – they are in prescription bottles.’ But what kind of pills they are is unclear.”

And, the source reports, one of her bodyguards swears that Britney is drinking cocktails out of water bottles. “He says he’s seen Britney take prescription medication and drink. She has wandered through the house naked and in various states of undress, sometimes in front of the boys.” A second bodyguard has sworn in an affidavit that Britney “drinks at all hours of the day,” the source tells Star. “She does drink in front of the boys. She drinks everything she’s got in her bar at home – Patron tequila, champagne, vodka, Baileys, rum, Scotch.”

The bodyguard added that Britney came on to him and demanded that he constantly tell her she’s hot – “but he attributed that to her stress and drinking,” says the source.

As Star has previously reported, Federline, and attorney Kaplan have been gathering material against Britney to prove that she’s an unfit mother and to show that Kevin should have physical custody of the boys. In fact, they filed papers in L.A. Superior Court on August 8, requesting that. A close source says, “It’s more than getting custody of the kids – it’s ‘rescuing them’ in Kevin’s mind.”

“He thinks Britney is an unfit mother and wants his children away from her ASAP. He’s convinced her alleged drug use, drinking and out-of-control behavior will result in a tragic accident involving one of his kids if he doesn’t act now.”

Kevin took an aggressive step in his custody battle over the weekend of August 10. He hired Aaron Cohen, a former Israeli army counter-terrorism commander, to serve papers to people in Britney’s inner circle, who Kevin feels have been refusing to cooperate with his lawyers.

“Aaron runs a Hollywood security firm called IMS Security and gets the job done,” says a source. “Kevin is determined that Aaron will serve all of Britney’s pals with court papers, forcing them to give legal depositions in which they will have to answer questions under oath about Britney’s parenting skills, in addition to anything they’ve witnessed regarding Britney and drugs, alcohol or sexual conduct.”

Cohen’s first “raid” took place in the early morning hours of August 12, when he served papers to Britney’s cousin and confidant, Alli Sims, 26.

“All the people around Britney have been protecting her, and Kevin’s sick of it,” says the source. “I think he probably holds Alli responsible – as an enabler who should know better for the sake of the children.”

That Sunday morning, says the source, Cohen’s team watched Alli’s movements and pounced on her as she and Britney’s ex-boyfriend, music producer J.R. Rotem, left a party at a private home in the Hollywood Hills shortly after 2:30 am. “Britney was still in the house and didn’t see this happen,” says an eyewitness, who adds that Aaron Cohen ended up tossing the subpoena – compelling Alli to testify as to Britney’s parenting methods – into the open window of the car she and J.R. were leaving in.

“Britney came out of the party soon after and burst into tears when she found out what had happened,” says the source. She later rejoined Sims and Rotem at her Beverly Hills mansion.

Next on Kevin’s list, say insiders, are family and friends in Britney’s hometown of Kentwood, La. And even though Brit’s mom, Lynne Spears, has been on Kevin’s side, “she’ll probably be subpoenaed as well by Kevin’s legal team, if for nothing else than appearance’s sake,” says the source. “Kevin won’t stop until he gets the children. Britney has stepped way over the line. This is now an all-out war!” And the next battle is scheduled for September 17 in L.A. Superior Court, when K-Fed and his attorney, armed with their affidavits, will argue for modification of the existing custody agreement, a 50/50 split between both parents.
