Kanye West apologizes on Jay Leno
And after the controversy yesterday with West rushing the stage as Taylor Swift accepted an award at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), the timing couldn’t be better.
Of course we couldn’t wait to hear what he had to say.
The first thing Jay said to Kanye was “Thank you for honoring this commitment, a lot of times people . . . things happen and they kinda back out at the last minute or they have a publicist or someone call and say, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, my client is not available.’ So thank you for coming and doing this in light of all the things going on.”
Agreed on that part. At least Kanye showed up. But it’s not like he is one to turn down any major publicity..
Kanye then went on to apologize, saying that he knew almost immediately what he did was wrong. Jay asked him to elaborate, and Kanye said it was when he returned the microphone to Taylor.
Then for the “deep” Kanye. Jay told Kanye that he knew his late mother, Donde West. He then pulled a Larry King and asked Kanye, “What do you think she [Donde] would have said about this?” Ouch. I think that one had to have stung.
Then it gets quiet. Kanye never looks up. He fidgets, he’s sweating. For a few moments the only thing he manages to say is, “Um.”
Watch the video and then tell me, do you think he was sincere? And if he was sincere, do you think it was because he realizes what he did wrong – or simply because of the backlash?
Kelly let Kanye have it in a no holds barred, open letter to Mr. Egotistical.

Kanye WestDear Kanye, What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like sh*t. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh*tty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, a**hole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my a**hole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??
I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.
On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!
Taylor Swift, you outsell him ….that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl!

Take that Kanye. It’s kind of sad when someone younger and classier than you puts you in your place. I’m glad she did, someone needed to. So please, Kanye, appease Kelly and the rest of us by quietly taking Kelly’s moon man, and sticking it up your ass. Then maybe since you talk out of it we’ll enjoy a little silence for once..
Kanye West rushed the stage during Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech
Kanye West managed to make an ass of himself again on the MTV Video Music Awards. While Taylor Swift was accepting her award for Best Female Video, West barreled onstage and robbed her of her moment. He ranted on about Beyonce’s video and how it was one of the greatest of all-time. But it wasn’t about Beyonce. This was about Kanye – and him making it all about Kanye.
Beyonce seemed shocked and probably embarrassed by it all. Later when she came onstage to accept her award for Video of the Year [Single Ladies] she invited Taylor onstage to finish her speech. Way to go, Bey.
Kanye later apologized on his blog saying: “SOOOOO SORRY. I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment. Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade. I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down. I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor.”

Kanye doesn’t seem amused by the attention they receive and flips off the cameras. But you know he loves it – deep down.

I bet Amber’s old girlfriend Tiffany is thrilled about the news. I mean, she was with Amber for years, and even has a tattoo of Amber’s name on her NECK! I can almost guarantee that Rose will go back to her! I still think she only hooked up with Kanye for the fame.

Pink says she, Paul McCartney and the VP of PETA were all at a Stella McCartney show when Kanye kept talking about integrating fur into the collection. (Just for the record, Pink and the McCartney’s are all anti-fur activists.)
Pink, not one to hold her tongue, says:
“Kanye West is the person pissing me off right now.
The entire time Kanye is going, ‘They need more fur in this show’. He just wouldn’t shut up about how he loved fur. I mean, he’s saying this to me, the PETA guy and Paul McCartney! I was just so grossed out by him. I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot!’
There are so many people who I think are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him.”Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.”
Leave it to Kanye.
C’mon, there is no way that he didn’t know what he was doing. He must have been trying to get a rise of out them – or he was being the alpha-male superstar who was so caught up in impressing people with his knowledge of fur that he simply forgot who he was talking to. Hey, he IS that self-absorbed.
