Kara DioGuardi completely ruined Katrina Darrell’s moment in the sun and I loved it.

During the American Idol finale (Season 8 – May 20,2009) Katrina Darrell was allowed to extend her 15 minutes of fame when the show’s producers let her parade around in a bikini, flaunting new boobs and a deeper, darker tan. They even let her sing Vision of Love by Mariah Carey. It was pitiful.

But the sideshow circus became even more entertaining when American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi burst out onstage and began singing the song over bikini girl, much to Darrell’s dismay.

Kara upstaged Katrina by way of talent for sure. Bikini girl could not hold a candle to Kara when it came to belting out a Mariah Carey tune. But then Kara even took it a step further, and at the end of the song, ripped open her dress exposing a black bikini underneath!

She had beat bikini girl at her own game.

The fame whore stood there, stunned, with her hand on her hip, looking at the audience in disbelief. Every once in awhile she’d try to start singing again but was clearly overpowered by Kara and I’m sure the sound crew had a hand in the decibel levels.

Me loves it. Pwned.

Kara DioGuardi shocked American Idol viewers during it’s finale when she ripped off her dress to reveal a black bikini.

As Katrina Darrell a.k.a. Bikini Girl was singing horrendously onstage, the American Idol judge surprises everyone and comes out, taking over. Even more surprising was when she ripped open her dress exposing a bikini underneath.

I think she’s fab. Much tougher than Paula! It’s nice to have some fresh blood in there.

The two seemed to click last night, and as it turns out, they have been friends for 10 years!

Abdul met DioGuardi in New York outside a diner. The two were instantly bonded and shortly after Paula invited the budding songwriter to move in with her.

Paula recalls, “She was the best roommate I ever had. Except that she walks in her sleep. We had the best time ever…We instantly became thick as thieves. I believed in her.”
