Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has a major crush on his co-star Mandy Moore.
The Rock played Mandy’s husband in the new film Southland Tales. He split from his wife Dany earlier this year and has fallen head over heels for Moore.
He says,
“Mandy is drop dead gorgeous! She is beautiful and sweet and tall! My kind of woman! I can’t say enough great things about her.”
Now wouldn’t that be an odd couple? Go Mandy!
Sarah Jessica Parker says she isn’t bothered by Maxim magazine crowning her as the Most Unsexy Woman in Hollywood.
Most women in Tinseltown would suffer a massive blow to their egos if given the title but not Sarah. Sarah let it roll off her back and responded with class.
“What they don’t know is that one day I’ll wake up fat. But I’ll still be happy, just like I am now. I believe in the old ’sticks and stones’ philosophy, so frankly their words don’t come close to hurting. And it does not bother me in the least if people don’t think I’m sexy. I don’t think I am, either.”
Coppola: “They all live off the fat of the land.”
Francis Ford Coppola says he’s lost faith in what some would consider the greatest actors in the world. Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson and Al Pacino all had their asses handed to them in the latest issue of GQ magazine where the world renowned director exposed them for what they really are. . .or have become.
Coppola, who has directed the three actors at one time or another, says all three have become disappointments as they’ve gotten older. . .and wealthier.
“I met both Pacino and De Niro when they were really on the come. They were young and insecure. Now Pacino is very rich, maybe because he never spends any money; he just puts it in his mattress. De Niro was deeply inspired by (Coppola’s studio American) Zoetrope and created an empire and is wealthy and powerful.
Nicholson was — when I met him and worked with him — he was always kind of a joker. He’s got a little bit of a mean streak. He’s intelligent, always wired in with the big guys and the big bosses of the studios.
I don’t know what any of them want anymore. I don’t know that they want the same things. Pacino always wanted to do theater … (He) will say, ‘Oh, I was raised next to a furnace in New York, and I’m never going to go to L.A.,’ but they all live off the fat of the land.
I think if there was a role that De Niro was hungry for, he would come after it. I don’t think Jack would. Jack has money and influence and girls, and I think he’s a little bit like (Marlon) Brando, except Brando went through some tough times. I guess they don’t want to do it anymore.
You know, even in those days, after ‘The Godfather,’ I didn’t feel that those actors were ready to say, ‘Let’s do something else really ambitious.’ A guy like (38-year-old “Before Night Falls” star) Javier Bardem is excited to do something good: ‘Let me do this’ or ‘I’ll put stuff in my mouth, change my appearance.’ I don’t feel that kind of passion to do a role and be great coming from those guys, because if it was there, they would do it.”
Not one of the actors would comment.
And Hollywood wonders why fans have turned on them in recent years. Kudos to Coppola for having the balls to say what has been so obvious in Hollywood for quite sometime. Hollywood has gone to shit, basically. They don’t have to be a great actors or actresses anymore, yet they still reap the same rewards. It’s spoiled them and they’ve gotten lazy, unappreciative and uninspired.
Old Hollywood magic is gone. When people are more excited about a reality show than the latest blockbuster, it’s a sad day. And it’s here folks.
Sarah Silverman raised eyebrows at this years MTV Video Music Awards after making fun of Britney Spears and her vagina.
Sarah just wants to have fun and not take life so seriously.
Us Magazine: First off, were you surprised by the negative reaction to your Britney jokes at the VMAs?
The joke that everyone was upset about — me calling the kids “adorable mistakes” — was the most innocuous joke. It never occurred to me that would be deemed hurtful or over the line. I don’t want to get into feuds with girls half my age. I’m in it to be funny and not for the drama. It’s embarrassing.
Us: On to your show: Is the new season crazier?
The story lines are ridiculous! It’s that contrast that makes the show work— absurdity played real.
Us: We also see more of your real-life sis, Laura. Is there anything bad about working with her?
Yes, she’s thinner than me! I need to get one of those Lucy-and-Ethel clauses. [It’s rumored that the actress who played Ethel on I Love Lucy had to be 20 pounds overweight.]
Us: We hear Angelina Jolie is a fan of the show. True?
I met her on the lot, and she was so cool! There is a chance she’ll show up in an episode. I don’t know why, but I’m seeing her in an Annie wig.
Us: Why does your relationship with Kimmel work?
I have no clue. He’s cute, and he has dimples, and we love each other.

Jen’s mom, Guadalupe Lopez
Jennifer Lopez used to pride herself in being a humble down-to-earth homegirl who would never let fame get in the way of keeping it real.
With songs like ‘I’m Real’ and ‘Jenny from the Block’, J Lo tried to convince everyone that she wouldn’t let stardom spoil her. Too bad it didn’t pan out that way.
Jennifer Lopez is so wrapped up in being a famous diva that she doesn’t even talk to her mother, Guadalupe, anymore. The two used to be extremely close and Jennifer always praised Guadalupe for believing in her. But these days the two rarely speak.
When a reporter went to Guadalupe’s home to verify the news that Jennifer was pregnant, he was met with a mother who is obviously crushed that her daughter doesn’t want anything to do with her anymore. She said that she hasn’t heard anything about the pregnancy and snidely commented,
“I didn’t hear about it. You know more than I do. I don’t talk to her very often. I don’t see her often.”
Guadalupe said she is “very busy here taking care of my sister,” who was at Guadalupe’s house at the time. “[Jennifer is] very busy doing what she does.”
The mother and daughter must have fallen out sometime in the last year as they seemed chipper and loving in September 2006, at the Canadian premiere of “El Cantante.” Guadalupe cut a rug on the dance floor and Jennifer proudly boasted, “Where do you think I get my moves from?”
Many think Marc Anthony, who left his last wife to be with Lopez, may be somehow involved in the deterioration of Jen and Guadalupe’s relationship.
Neither Guadalupe or Jennifer will comment on why they are no longer close.
