Kevin Federline Retains Sole Custody!

Friday, July 18th, 2008

It’s been a really long year for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

Finally, after battling for nearly two years for custody of their sons, Sean Preston 2½, and Jayden James 1½, the ex-couple have come to an agreement.

Federline will retain sole custody and Britney will keep her current agreement which allows for two days and one over-night per week.

In a sense it’s a little bit of a shock because Britney has really made an effort to stay out of the limelight and to get well. On the other hand, I think it is a brilliant decision because her mental health and her well being are two things that she needs to work on constantly, and how can you take care of your children if you can’t take care of yourself? I don’t think Britney’s quite there yet - but hopefully she will be, in time.

Brit’s visitation can be amended by a judge - which is what will most likely happen eventually as long as Britney stays on track.

People magazine spoke with a family attorney (who was not involved in this case) who gave her opinion on the future of this case. She said, “Until the kids turn 18, we can expect in years to come that Britney and Kevin will be back in court. Britney will have a better chance of winning more custody once she regains her health. This is just the end of Round One.”

Britney Spears Courtroom Sketch

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline headed back to the courtroom today and it turned out to be a good day for Britney.

Ms. Spears was granted three days a week with the boys, a step in the right direction for Britney, who is trying to get back equal custody with her children.

Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan said during a press conference that the boys’ overnight stays will be “phased in”.

“The court made orders today, they were orders that the parties were able to mostly agree to. It represents a a cautious step moving forward.”

Kaplan added that everyone is pleased at the progress of this case, and that of Britney. He also stated that the children are doing “great”.

Britney’s parents released a statement saying they are “pleased with Britney’s progress” and “very appreciative” that the judge is considering the fact that she has shown improvement in recent months.

Both Kevin and Britney are expected back in court on July 15th.

Celebrity Quote of the Day - Kevin Federline

“I never will regret anything that’s ever happened in my life. I look at life as a lesson. I am a very strong believer that this is a stepping-stone for something else. Not to say I like having the paparazzi around or that I like having my life in the media. But as much as I try to be mad at it, I can’t be. The paparazzi and the press have given me a voice. One day I’ll be able to use that voice.”

- Kevin Federline thinks his failed marriage to Britney Spears will lead him to prosperity.

Shar Jackson, the Classier of Kevin’s Two Exes

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Shar Jackson has been more of a mother to Sean Preston and Jayden James than their own mother, Britney Spears, lately.

Shar says she has been helping out a bit with the two boys, who haven’t seen their mother in three weeks. She told Us Weekly that Sean and Jayden are doing well and haven’t really noticed that their mom hasn’t been around.

They’re babies, you know, they don’t really know. Of course, all kids say, ‘mama,’ but they don’t really know [where she is],” said Shar.

She adds, “They have a lot of positive people around them, so they’re good. The kids all spend a lot of time together, but I’m not trying to take anybody’s place.”

She also said that she and Kevin have made an effort to remain good friends for the sake of the children.

“It could have gone really bad, and we could have become enemies. A lot of people choose to do that, but I don’t have time for that. Life is way too short, and we’re not promised tomorrow, so I don’t want to go out and have bad feelings with anybody.”

The boys and Kevin are lucky to have such a great lady in their lives. Shar is a genuine person and seems to always have the kids best interest at hand. That’s more than we can say for Ms. Someone Please Sew My Vagina Shut.

Britney’s Custody Hearing in a Nutshell

Monday, January 14th, 2008

brit-cry-wah.jpg

All morning long the buzz was - would Britney Spears show up to her custody hearing? Same story different day.

Kevin Federline was seen arriving to court shortly after 9AM. He wore a pinstriped suit and sported a faux-hawk. Britney ended up finally showing up at 1:15PM, and of course there was drama. When Britney got out of her car she was surrounded by photographers. After screaming at them and throwing a fit she got back into her car and drove off. She might show up again later today, or possibly tomorrow as the hearing will continue then.

Of course those whack job photographers trailed shortly behind her, following her to ‘The Little Brown Church’ in the San Fernando Valley. The asshole paps couldn’t even let her pray in peace. The entourage followed her in. Britney simply sat down then got up and left.

Will Britney Blow it Again?

Britney Spears is getting one last chance to make things right in her custody case.

Monday she MUST show up for a hearing or face losing her children permanently, according to reports from TMZ.

The courts are said to be prepared in case any drama goes down during the hearing.
Let’s just see if she makes it there first..

And in anticipation of Monday’s hearing, Kevin Federline’s legal team is requesting a full police report of the events that took place that evening. They are also asking LAPD for all names of law enforcement officers who were at the scene.

Hopefully this case is finally coming to a head.

Britney Leaves Hospital With Dr. Phil

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

brit-gurney105.jpg

Britney Spears is still losing her mind. She left the hospital today, after a visit from Dr. Phil. Yes, Dr. Phil. Just what we need - another cartoon character in this circus.

Dr.Phil is a friend of Lynne Spears and was most likely there to try and help with Brit’s situation. Sources say Britney was calm during his visit. She had been upset earlier in the morning but his presence helped immensely.

Nurses say Britney was being a major PIA. She was yelling at people, demanding to be let out of the hospital, pulled her IV out and refused to hold still.

Reports say she was a ‘5150′, which is a person who is a threat to themselves or others, and can generally be held for 72 hours if doctors so chose. But apparently they didn’t in her case. Can anyone tell me WHY?

Anyhow she and Dr. Phil left the hospital together.

So anyway, Britney goes home and what does she decide to do? Drive around aimlessly in her white Mercedes of course! Probably going to score more nose candy or something.

Jamie Spears, Britney’s dad was seen leaving his Britney’s gated community just after she left. Meanwhile, Kevin Federline is the smart one once again - he hasn’t left his house and is keeping the children away from the craziness.

— UPDATE —

Dr. Phil has released the following statement after meeting with Britney:

“My meeting with Britney and some of her family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention.

She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her.”

— UPDATE #2 —

TMZ is reporting that the statement released by Dr. Phil is entirely untrue. They say that yes, Dr. Phil did visit Britney, but he did so at the request of her parents, and Britney had no idea he was coming. Somehow the hospital - despite Britney not wanting visitors -allowed him to go to Britney’s room where she was ‘blindsided’ by his appearance. She promptly left her room upset, but returned shortly after.

It did not go well, as previously reported.

Sources say that Dr. Phil was NOT there for an hour, but a mere 15 minutes. He did almost all of the talking, and Britney was not interested in hearing it. And they add they he did NOT escort her out of the hospital, he simply followed behind as she left.

Apparently Dr. Phil has convinced Britney’s parents to appear on his show. Can you believe it? The show is to tape Monday and air Tuesday. Dr. Phil wasted no time getting in on the action. I am gravely disappointed in him and the parents for making this all about THEM. They should be working together to find a way to help Britney, and I doubt a public airing of the family’s dirty laundry on national television is the place to start.
