Who knew that Kelly Pickler and Kid Rock were dating?

Apparently everyone in Nashville.

But to the rest of us it was news. The former American Idol contestant and the rock star hooked up over a year ago.

Why is it that I actually see this one working out? In my opinion Kid’s moving on to Kellie after that whole ridiculous marriage to Pamela ‘Monster-Vag’ Anderson is a good thing. And an upgrade. Even though she is easy to make fun of, and yes, I have done it a few times, I think Kellie is a sweet girl who isn’t all about being an attention whore. She’s likable. That girl next door that you want to hate because she’s so cute, but you can’t because she is so nice.

As for Kid Rock, well, he’s a rebel but I think he is still pretty grounded. He doesn’t have that “rockstar” complex, like so many have. So that immediately makes him cool in my book.

So, this one gets my blessing!

Kid Rock loves his beer.

So much so, that the rocker has teamed up with Drinks Americas Holdings to launch “a premium domestic beer” of his own.

CEO J. Patrick Kenny confirmed the news saying, “Kid Rock is a reflection of great American rock-and-roll music and the American spirit, and we think we can create a beer in that same image.

“There is no question in our mind that people will try a beer that Kid Rock will stand by and when they like it, a great and incredibly valuable trademark will be created.”

The beer will hit shelves (and trailer parks everywhere) in 2009.

Kid Rock says he plans on making some changes in the New Year. Notably, his hair.

Rock says he’ s going to cut off his thin stringy hair for a fresh start.

“I definitely want to cut it. I think this is the last record with the hair. I’ve had enough. I’m going to slick it back [and], whoosh, ride off into the sunset.”

Kid might be trashy and all but the guy has a heart. He’s heading to Iraq this holiday season to entertain troops there.

“I told my son [Robert, 17] I’m going to go to Iraq to be with some people who can’t be with their families. We’re not doing presents this year. I’m going to spend some time with these people, ’cause we’ve been very fortunate at the end of the day.”

Kid Rock will not be charged in the fight with Tommy Lee at the MTV VMAs.

The Clark County District Attorney’s Office will not pursue a battery charge thanks to Tommy Lee requesting that there be no prosecution relating to the incident.

Rock still faces the misdemeanor charge for the incident at the waffle house in Atlanta. Rock was also arrested back in 2005 for allegedly hitting a DJ at a strip club in Nashville.

Kid Rock was arrested in Atlanta Sunday morning after being involved in a waffle house scuffle.

Rock and friends hit a waffle house restaurant at 5:15AM Sunday after performing the night before. A woman who was with Rock knew some guy in the restaurant who for some reason was extremely unhappy with the her. The two exchanged words and were involved in a heated argument that evolved into a physical fight.

Rock and pals hoofed it out of there and were pulled over a short time later in his tour bus.

It must have been a hell of a scuffle because Rock and five members of his clan were taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. The man, Harlen Akins, has been charged with one felony count of second degree criminal damage to property after smashing a window at the restaurant.

Rock was released on bond and left the jail nearly 12 hours after the fight had occurred. As he made his way to his tour bus he signed autographs for fans.

Kid Rock says after his bitch fight last month with Tommy Lee, that there is only one thing he regrets about it. That he didn’t hit him more!

Not because he’s sad he didn’t whip Tommy’s ass, but that he feels it may have helped to promote his new album, Rock N’ Roll Jesus, which hits stores this week.

He says,

“If I had known the attention it would get, and right before my album is due, I would have thrown a few more punches.”

Kid Rock has come out saying that his ex-wife Pamela Anderson lied about having a miscarriage while they were married.

Rock told Rolling Stone magazine that Pam basically lied about it to lay a guilt trip on him about not coming to see her while she was filming in Vancouver. It all went down in a phone call.

“She’s in Vancouver shooting a movie and I have Lakers seats on the floor, and I’m gonna go to the Lakers (basketball) game with my friend Jesse James. I’m like, `Baby, I got these tickets. I’ll see you on the weekend there,’ and that leads into her saying, `You don’t care about me, blah blah blah. She finally comes up with this: `I just had a miscarriage’ … and hangs the phone up.”

Rock swears he had no idea that she was pregnant in the first place. So he boarded a plane and flew to see her, only to find a scene that would disgust him.

“When I get there, she’s partying at this restaurant, drinking champagne, jumping on the tables. I’m thinking, `That’s a quick recovery from a miscarriage.’”

Later that month they filed for divorce. The marriage last just over three months.

Tommy Lee wants to fight Kid Rock in the ring to settle their dispute after a heated argument took place between the two at the MTV VMAs.

Las Vegas showman Jeff Beacher has offered the two bad boys a chance to fight in a winner-takes-all $1.5 million fight in, where else, Vegas. Sources say the prize money may go as high as $4 million. If the fight were to take place it would happen on New Years Eve at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Tommy is all for it but Kid is still considering the opportunity.

A friend of Tommy’s said, “Tommy Lee is being a man about it. He wants to take Kid Rock down.”
