Chivalry is dead…unless you’re Kiefer Sutherland.

Kiefer took it to another level Monday night at a Met Costume Institute Gala after party.

Rumor has it that Kiefer witnessed a man (Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCullough) knock over Brooke Shields. Whether he completely knocked her down or just bumped into her is not known. (Or if he touched her at all..) But after Kiefer saw it happen he marched right over to Mr. McCullough and demanded he apologize to Shields.

That’s when the designer had enough of Kiefer and, according to witnesses, shoved him. Well, Kiefer is not one to back down, so in return, he headbutted McCullough. You know, just playground stuff. Heh.

If you recall, Kiefer is on probation, stemming from his DUI arrest. Bad, Kiefer!

Brooke Shields has come forward, and is describing her side of the story. As they say, every story has three sides. Yours, theirs, and the truth!

Brooke claims that Mr. McCullough did nothing to merit a headbutting by Kiefer. Her publicist told TMZ, “Jack did nothing inappropriate. It’s not clear what caused Kiefer to do what he did.”

Rut-roh, was Kiefer drunk again? But wait, he had his pants on, right?

According to this report Kiefer broke McCullough’s nose.

Kiefer’s a bad boy alright, and don’t you forget it!

Kiefer Sutherland was released from jail late last night after serving 48 days for a DUI.

Sutherland left the facility wearing the clothes he arrived in. He began serving his sentence on December 5th and spent the entire holiday season in a cell. The only person who visited him was his lawyer, and he had very little contact with other inmates.

John Balian, spokesperson for Glendale City Jail, says, “He looked like he was glad to be out.”

Sutherland is now on five years probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program.

I’m surprised that no one came to visit him during that entire time.  Especially over Christmas!

Kiefer Sutherland turned himself in to a Glendale, CA jail on Wednesday where he will begin serving out his 48-day sentence for DUI.

Jail spokesperson Officer Balian said of the actor, “Mr. Sutherland is very polite and humble. He was very cooperativealone in a cell, since he’ll be a long-term inmate.” during the booking process. He will be issued an orange jumpsuit, and will be housed

Sutherland will have to perform menial jobs just as the other inmates – including laundry and kitchen duty, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. He’ll be free to roam around most of the time (rather than being locked in his cell) but Officer Balian says he will only be in direct contact with other inmates when serving meals.

The actor was sentenced in an L.A. courtroom earlier in the afternoon for the DUI arrest and for violating probation. The 24 star wore a black pinstripe suit and looked contrite before the judge, who spared him from the much harsher L.A. County facility. Asked if he had any comment, Sutherland smiled and shook his head as he walked away from the courtroom.

Kiefer was also sentenced to five years probation, an 18-month alcohol class and weekly therapy sessions for six months.

The L.A. City Attorney’s Office said in a statement, “Sutherland will be serving the 48 days in the Glendale City Jail, with no early release and no good time/work time credit, so we expect that he will serve the entire 48 days in jail.”

Paris Hilton wants to visit Kiefer Sutherland during his time in jail. Sutherland was sentenced to 48 days in jail after violating his probation in a DUI case.

Paris think she can make Kiefer’s time in the clink more bearable. A source told the Daily Star,

“Paris feels she can make this whole experience easier on Kiefer. It was the most life-changing experience for her when she was jailed, but also so hard. She feels she’s well informed about the celeb incarceration thing.”

Hilton is interested in trying to create a TV show from the experience. (Of course she is..)

The source added, “The pressure is so much more when you’re famous, so she’s said she’ll be there. She’d like to record a diary – perhaps even 24 style.”

Kiefer Sutherland pleaded no contest to DUI charges Tuesday and will serve 30 days in county jail.

Sutherland must also complete an 18-month alcohol-education class and attend alcohol classes weekly for six months. He has a previous DUI from 2004 and his probation, in that case, was revoked. He could face six months in jail for violating probation.

Sentencing is set for Dec. 21st.

EDIT: Kiefer will actually serve 18 days on top of the 30 days for violating his probation.

“Sutherland must serve 18 days starting Dec. 21 to pay for the fact that his recent drunk-driving bust violated the probation terms of his 2004 DUI conviction. Cushy house arrest with electronic monitoring is strictly forbidden. He then must serve another 30 days by July, with no Paris Hilton-style reprieve, officials said.

“He has to serve the time … [There's] no credit for overcrowding,” said Frank Mateljan, spokesman for Los Angeles city prosecutor Rocky Delgadillo.”

Oh No! Not Kiefer Sutherland!

Sutherland was arrested for of driving under the influence around 1 am this morning in Hollywood. He made an illegal U-turn, was pulled over and then given a field sobriety test in which he failed. He was booked and was released on $25,000 bail. His court date is Octover 16th.

Sutherland had attended the FOX Fall Eco-Casino party at Area nightclub earlier in the evening.

This is his second offense. The last one being in 2004.
