Heidi Montag, for reasons unknown, was asked to perform at the Miss Universe 2009 competition.

She lip-synched of course, because we all know what she sounds like when her voice hasn’t been put through the ringer. Her dancing was mediocre at best, and she seemed to be trying to mimic Britney Spears. A Britney you will never be, sweetheart.

I can’t believe that big ol’ stage hook didn’t come out and pull her off the stage. I am also shocked that the audience didn’t boo her. I’m sure they were told not to. Heh.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know a lot of you out there just adore Bey and her music, but I think she is overrated – and Howard Stern has proven it!

Proof that A LOT of singers these days DO NOT have what it takes to perform live. That’s why they don’t, they lip-sync their pre-recorded crap! If you have “the look” they will MAKE you a star, whether you can sing or not.

I love Howard’s snickering throughout the clip too because I was doing the exact same thing!

P.S. Yes, I know Milli Vanilli lip synced to someone else’s voice, but damn, this is just as bad!

In her first live performance since the 2007 VMAs, Britney Spears performed her new hit ‘Womanizer’ at the Bambi Awards in Germany.

The ‘Circus’ themed production was definitely eye candy, but Britney’s act was lackluster.

She didn’t do much dancing, just some fancing ’strutting,’ if you will. And there was absolutely no singing involved, she simply mouthed the prerecorded track.

But hey, I guess that’s typical. At least she wasn’t bloated and wearing a diamond encrusted bra and panties like last time. She did, however, look an awful lot like Madonna.

All Britney had to do really, was show up and look good. And that’s what she did.

It’s not surprising that producers of Saturday Night Live have no desire to work with Ashlee Simpson again.

After her infamous lip-syncing, hoe-down fiasco, Papa Joe has been desperate to get Ashlee back on the show to redeem herself. Now that Ashlee has a new album coming out [Bittersweet World] he figured the timing was perfect.

Joe contacted the show’s producers who promptly told him “no”. Apparently Ashlee was such a pain in the ass last time she was on, producers have vowed to never work with her again.

Of course Ashlee’s spokesperson is telling a completely different story. “We’re not doing ‘SNL’ because they’re dark the week we are here in April and there were no other opportunities later in the year.”

Or next year. Or the year after.. Thank you, SNL.

Sure, Britney Spears might be trying to blame Sarah Silverman and everyone else for her poor performance at the VMAs Sunday, but the truth is, she caused her own demise.

According to Page Six, Britney not only showed up for the event late, she also had a cocktail in hand.

Britney was supposed to be at a live rehearsal Saturday at 1pm. She didn’t arrive in Sin City until 4:30pm.

One source said,

“She didn’t even get to Las Vegas until 4:30 p.m. It was ridiculous. The production people at MTV were freaking out. Nobody can tell Britney what to do anymore. No one can control her. She is a mess.”

You would think that as soon as she touched down she would be high tailing it to rehearsal, but that wasn’t the case. Britney headed straight for her room where she ordered a hefty amount of food and some frozen margaritas! (So that’s why she was so bloated looking..) She didn’t come down for over an hour.

When Britney finally arrived at rehearsal she was an immediate pain in the ass. She refused to try and learn difficult dance moves and absolutely hated the outfit MTV had wanted her to wear. The ensemble, which reportedly looked much better than what she actually wore, included a corset and would have looked a million times better on her according to sources.

A source who was at the rehearsal said,

“The dance number was spectacular – without her. When the stand-in was rehearsing with the dancers, in the hours they were all waiting for her, it was amazing. Then Britney showed up and refused to do anything. The dancers were supposed to lift and twirl her in the air a few times, and that just wasn’t going to happen. The more complicated dance moves had to be erased because she couldn’t do them.”

Another source says the dancers were terrified of performing with Britney in front of the world and knew she wouldn’t give it her all.

Britney Spears dropped out of Cyndi Lauper’s ‘True Colors’ show because she wouldn’t be allowed to lip-sync.

Spears was expected to perform at the show in Los Angeles Saturday along with Erasure, Deborah Harry, The Dresden Dolls and The MisShapes with Jeffree Star.  But it looks like that won’t be happening as Britney refuses to sing live. Hmmph..some performer.

A source told The Sun, "Britney said she’d only lip-sync but to work with Cyndi, you have to perform."

Heh.  Britney Spears can’t sing.  Who knew?
