Since Jesica Simpson and Tony Romo have been dating, the public has been all up in their business.
Is she a curse to Romo’s team, the Dallas Cowboys? Is Papa Joe controlling the relationship?
However, the couple say they have allowed none of that negativity into their lives and insist they are stronger than their haters.
For the first time, Tony Romo opens up about Jessica and their relationship in the June issue of Vanity Fair, where Jessica graces the cover. He shows his admiration and love for Jessica without being sappy or looking p-whipped.
He says, “We’re very similar in that we both appreciate the hometown feel to a lot of things, and live our life like that. She comes to a ton of games. She’s a supportive girlfriend.”
Once the football season is over, Romo says he and Jess jut like to kick back, chill and enjoy each other. “A lot of people head to Vegas, go back to their hometowns, colleges, and stuff. I was just like, ‘Let’s rent a house and sit around and watch football.’ It seemed like a good decision. But when you’re in the public eye, things can be perceived differently.”
“You know, it’s very hard when you lose, because games are important, and so many people put so much time and effort in. It’s nice to have someone to come home to and try and make you feel better.”
Simpson chimes in, “That’s how the story goes. Can’t help it. But we don’t let it affect our relationship. If we did, we wouldn’t be together, because it happened at the very beginning. Dating the Cowboys quarterback comes with hype, the fans, the bloggers, but I’ve never dated a guy that was more simple. I’m always there for him after a game, and he knows he has me to come home to.”

On His Drug Addiction
“I wasn’t ready mentally. I wasn’t ready to give up the drugs. I didn’t really think I had a problem. Basically, I went in, and I came out. I relapsed, and I spent the next three years struggling with it. Also, at that time, I felt like I wanted to pull back, because my drug problem had got so bad. I felt like, Maybe if I take a break, maybe this will help. I started to get into the producer role more… I can still be out there with my music, like with the Re-Up album, but I don’t have to be in the spotlight the whole time.”
On Proof’s Death
“Everyone felt his loss, from his kids, to his wife, to everyone. But, for some reason, in hindsight, the way I felt was almost like it happened to just me… Maybe at the time I was a little bit selfish with it. I think it kind of hit me so hard. It just blindsided me. I just went into such a dark place that, with everything, the drugs, my thoughts, everything. And the more drugs I consumed, and it was all depressants I was taking, the more depressed I became, the more self-loathing I became… By the way, I’m just now at the point where I’m better talking about it. It took me so long to get out of that place where I couldn’t even speak about it without crying or wanting to cry… Proof was the anchor. He was everything to D12. And not just the group-for me, personally, he was everything.”
On T.I., Lil Wayne & Hip-Hop
“I stayed up on the music, and obviously I watch TV and saw what was going on. And without naming any names, it just felt like hip-hop was going downhill. And it seemed like kinda fast. You know, in them three years, it was like everybody just cares about the hook and the beat; nobody really cares about substance. But with this new T.I. album, with this new Lil Wayne album of recent, it seems like things are looking a lot better now. You can appreciate Lil Wayne using different words to rhyme and actually rhyming words that you know. Or T.I., where you hear shit and you’re like Whoa, ah, I wish I would have thought of that! You know what I mean? Or you hear all the compound-syllable rhyming and all that. It just seems like now the craft is getting cared about more.”

Valerie and her newly thin body grace the cover of he latest issue of People magazine. Of course Valerie looks great, especially for 48 years old, but I have to say, she should really take the belly ring out!
Of course, it’s all thanks to the airbrush. Huffington Post posted a before and after pic that was taken during the photo shoot, and Kim’s lumps and bumps were smoothed out, her hips narrowed and her skin was made to look flawless.
But don’t get me wrong, I’m not hatin’. She’s definitely got it going on, airbrushed or not. Now if we could just miraculously airbrush her a personality..

First off, the photo of himself practically boning himself in the mirror is classic! No ego there!
Secondly, what’s wrong with this pic? Could it be that the top headline is a little ironic being as ‘Jesus’ Luz stole Madonna from A-Rod? Me loves it, of course…
Thirdly, the props in this shoot remind me of a coked out Lohan shoot for GQ a few years back. Remember the one where Lindsay was sprawled out, spread eagle on a mattress with mirrors and tabloids? Weird. The only thing I think of when I see mirrors and mattresses is a crackhouse.
Well, A-Rod has a similar shoot – mirrors and a very lucky mattress, who stars in all the shots. That mattress is getting more work than a lot of Americans right now. Speaking of, that mattress is fierce! Give him a raise!
