‘The Bachelor’ Winner Poses for Girls Gone Wild Magazine

shayne lamas girls gone wildshayne lamas the bachelor

So you probably already know that Lorenzo Lamas‘ daughter, Shayne Lamas, 22, won this season’s The Bachelor.

The season finale just aired Monday and already Shayne has rocketed off in the wrong direction. She appears on the latest issue of Girls Gone Wild magazine which is ran by the infamous Joe Francis empire.

Despite her father saying he thought she was only on the show to be on television, she insists she was there to find true love. She says, “It’s what every girl wants.”

When asked to describe Matt she says he is “very casual, respectful of women.”

Joe Francis says the reason he asked Shayne to do the spread was because, “Shayne has a genuine ‘girl next door’ quality. But she also happens to be very hot.”

And not very bright.

In case you missed it, TMZ reported at the end of March that Bachelor Matt Grant had hit on one of their employees at a bar. He and the female stayed in contact. At one point he told her that he wanted to move to the U.S. and his attorney told him the best way to jump on board was to get hitched! True or not, who knows, but definitely interesting.

Regardless, I’m not willing to lay any coin down on these two staying together. But in the meantime, I do bet Shayne will be trying like hell to be the next Paris Hilton..

Celebrity Quote of the Day - Jessica Simpson

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

“I’m not going to lie and say that I don’t want to see Tony and me in the pictures. It is a good airplane reading if you throw it away when you get off. I’m good at that. I am not the type of person who believes everything she reads, but I like to look at photos and see what people are wearing. That’s interesting to me. Do I read the stories? Not really. I try not to read blogs. The comments are extremely harsh.”

Cameron Diaz Does W

cameron diaz

From her interview in W, which hits stands April 22

On whether she dreamed of being an actress when she was a kid:

“Oh, no. I wanted to be a zoologist, to study the sociology of animals. But that’s pretty much what I do now anyway. I thought I’d be on the plains of Africa watching lions, but instead I’m in Hollywood watching train wrecks…I’m just kidding.”

On buying a place in Manhattan:

“I’m done with L.A. Those guys [the paparazzi], you can’t get away from them. You have no options because everybody’s in a car. Here, I can walk down the street like everybody else. Not everybody is there to be rich and famous or attach themselves to rich and famous people. People want nothing from you. They just want to say, like, ‘Hey, how’s it going, Cameron?’ I like that interaction. I like to be in a place where I can be open to people and not worry about the consequences.”

On her goals:

“Just kind of taking more time getting to know myself. It sounds so corny that I can’t believe I even just said that, but, you know, there comes a time when you really have to get to know who you are…I’ve just been figuring out what interests me and spending time with people who are important to me and being present in my own life.”

On Vegas:

“I looooove Vegas. It’s such an easy trip from L.A., and there’s always a hotel room because there’s about a billion of them,” she says, before adding with a laugh, “but honestly, you don’t even really need one if you’re just going for the weekend!”

Spencer Pratt To Give Advice?

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Heidi Montag’s annoying boyfriend Spencer Pratt somehow managed to score his own advice column in Radar magazine.

The column is called “YO SPENCER!” and debuts in the April issue of Radar.

Radar editor Maer Roshan said, “Spencer is never afraid to speak his mind. When asking for advice, it’s good to have someone who will be brutally honest with you, and tell it like it is.”

Ok, now how exactly is Spencer qualified to dish out advice? If anything I think the column will be worth reading just to snicker at the vast pearls of knowledge he throws out there.

Please.

Jodie Foster Parade Interview

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

jodie-parade.jpg

Jodie Foster is this week’s cover girl on Parade magazine and in it she opens up about her childhood, her career and her children.

On Her Early Sense of Responsibility

“I ask myself, ‘What did I miss?’” I had my little rebellions, but they were minimal. So I ask, ‘Why didn’t I rebel more?’ Then I remember — because I was responsible for someone else. That’s why I couldn’t rebel. That’s why I couldn’t get lost for days on end. I always had to work.”

On How Taxi Driver Changed Her Career

“Before that, somebody would say, ‘OK, here are your lines. You go here and do this and that. Just try to make it as natural as possible. With Taxi Driver, I had this eureka moment. I realized that acting could be much more than what I had been doing. I had to build a character that wasn’t me.”

On Her Childhood Attitude Toward Acting

“To me, acting didn’t seem like much of a profession. My mom always said, ‘By the time you’re 16, your career will be over. So what do you want to do then?’ She was correct. Most child actors’ careers end early. They’re lost.”

On Life After College

“I saw leaving college as an opportunity to do something different with my life. I always thought that becoming an academic was going to be my path. I could’ve gone to New York, but I went back to Los Angeles because it was where I was from.”

On What She Looks for in a Movie

“I make dark dramas, movies about people living in desperate fear who then overcome that fear and find a heroic side to themselves.”

One Raising Her Children

“Boys are easy. I mean, there are just a lot of bruises when they’re young. With boys, you get a lot of accidental jabs in the eye and stepping on your feet, and those tantrums they cause when they don’t want to leave the toy store.”

“But my boys are getting older now. They go to school all day, and then one wants to do T-ball and the other wants to do karate, so they’re actually gone until four-thirty. I want them to have curiosity about things they don’t know, and a desire to see places bigger than where they grew up.”

And thank you Shyne for pointing out that Britney’s photo idea was taken from a 1966 Esquire shoot with Angie Dickinson.

Tina Fey’s Parade

Friday, March 7th, 2008

parade-fey.jpg

Tina Fey, how can you not love her?

Tina made the cover of Parade, and in it she talks shop - with a dash of saucy sarcasm, of course.

On not being able to have it all:

“I think my generation has been slightly tricked in that you’re really encouraged to try to have it all. And sometimes your body will not let you wait as long as you want.”

On her 43-day maternity leave and return to Saturday Night Live:
“I had to get back to work. NBC has me under contract; the baby and I only have a verbal agreement.”

On how she intends on capitalizing on her fame:
“I often feel like a complete fool. I’m here laboring over this tiny show so much, and around me people are making money by the fistful. It’s like, ‘Oh, man, how can I turn my personality into a line of crappy products?’ Rachael Ray sells, like, spoons. I could sell pencils.”

I’d buy your pencils, Tina.

Vanity Fair’s Tribute to the Women of Comedy

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

vf-leibovitz.jpg

Vanity Fair spotlights funny women in it’s upcoming April issue. Tina Fey, Sarah Silverman and Amy Poehler adorn the cover as the Queens of Comedy.

Sarah does her best Amy Winehouse, which I thought was perfect because I have mentioned in the past how much they look alike. Jenna Fischer is Lindsay Lohan (center) and Wanda Sykes channels Lil Kim. Chelsea Handler (second from left) and Sandra Bernhard (left) are also spotlighted.
