You have to love this family. Seriously!

Matthew McConaughey’s mother, Kay McConaughey, is coming out with a new book that tells her family story.

I Amaze Myself is full of off-the-wall stories about the McConaugheys, and Kay doesn’t hold back when telling them. The woman certainly has a sense of humor and now we know where her son gets it.

In the book, Kay tells of Matthew’s father’s death. He died the way any man on this earth would love to go. While having sex with his wife!

Kay tells Us Weekly,

“On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love. But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened. I knew that something was wrong, because I didn’t hear anything from him. Just nothing. But it was just the best way to go!”

Amen, sister!  Hooray for Jim!

It seems Kay was a real horn dog for her man - and his penis!   When her husband, Jim, could not be revived, she sent him out of this world like he came into it. In the nude.

“I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey — and his gift,” she says.

Yeah, I’m sure the paramedics were thrilled to check his gift out! Ha!  That explains that HUGE bulge in Matthew’s shorts, bitches!

Keeping with the sex theme, Kay also dished that her gorgeous son was no accident. She had Matthew after marrying Jim for the third time.

“I was deciding, ‘Do I want to have another baby? Do I want to have an affair? Or go back to school?. That’s when Matthew was conceived. We had tried for 16 years and no baby. So Matthew was a big surprise!”

Well, it’s certainly no surprise where Matthew gets his honest, off-the-wall quirkiness!  Personally, I think it’s hot.  No snobby Hollywood family here!

Is this child not the most darling little guy or what?!

Ok magazine published more pics of Matthew McConaughey, Camila Alves and newborn son, Levi.

There is no doubt in mind that little Levi is going to be just like his daddy. Matthew says his little guy already has a wetsuit!  “He’ll be surfing next weekend,” he says. “I can’t wait to get him out there. All the new sights and sounds and smells are so great around here.”

Camila says that he even looks like his daddy.  “Everybody thinks he looks like me because of the hair and skin tone,” she says. “I think he looks more like Matthew every day.”

It think Matthew is going to be such a great daddy.  He just has a calmness about him that I think will pass on to his baby boy.

Speaking of boys, Matthew says he and Cam knew all along that Levi was going to be a boy.  He held his son for the first five minutes of his life as doctors worked on Camila.

He says, “I said, ‘Come here, little man.  I saw the pecker and screamed that we’d been right all along about him being a boy. Then I brought him over to her.”

Camila was in labor for an amazing 60 hours.  Matthew says labor was not exactly what he had envisioned.  “This is where I learned - and no one tells you this - but having a baby is a bloody, pukey, sweaty, primeval thing! And I mean that as a beautiful thing. It is wild.”

Daddy Matthew brought his son into the world the only way he knew how. With bongos and dancing, man!

“We found a great rhythm. Contractions started kicking in. I sat there with her, right between her legs. We got tribal on it, we danced to it! I was DJ-ing this Brazilian music.”

Not only did Matthew do a dance between Camilla’s legs, he also kept a diary of the entire experience and the hospital stay.

“I have it all chronicled. Becoming a dad is something I’ve dreamed of doing since I was 10. Becoming a father felt very, very natural. We were jamming! She was sweating. No painkiller, let’s go. She just clicked into that gear that only a woman has at a time like this. We’d been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, ‘Let’s handle this, let’s stay in the rhythm. Don’t let the contraction be more than you.’”

So after I half kiddingly hoped that Matthew McConaughey was going to name his son after his favorite beer, it seems he and Camila Alves have chosen a more predictable, suitable name for their child.

Proud papa Matthew told the world the name of his first child, and what it meant to him.

“Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person.

Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: ‘If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.’”

Together, Matthew and Camila have released the following statement:

“We welcome Levi Alves McConaughey into this wonderful life and look forward to living in it with him. In the mean time and all times, just keep livin’.

Congrats Matthew and Camila. I think Matt will be a terrific daddy.

Matthew McConaughey girlfriend Camila Alves welcomed a baby boy into the world Monday night.

No word on the child’s name yet, but remember when rumors were abound about Matthew wanting to name it ‘Bud’?  He’s a fan of the beer, and his older brother actually named his kid, ‘Miller Lyte’.  Heh.  I prefer ‘Arrogant Bastard’ myself . .

Oh yeah, Matthew’s bro’s name is ‘Rooster’ - so you see where they get it!

Little Bud (let’s just call him that until we know) was born at 6:22 PM in Los Angeles and weighed 7 lbs., 4 oz.

This is the first child for both.

A group of surfers weren’t too happy when paparazzi came onto the beach in Malibu in hopes of catching a shot of Matthew McConaughey.

As the paparazzi filmed McConaughey surfing and waited for him to return to the beach, a group of pissed off, drunk young men approached them.

The young men get all worked up and do that testosterone thing that young punkasses do after a few free-flowing half racks of Pabst. Like a pack of dogs they approached the paps.

“We’ll draw a line in the beach, and we’ll fight for the beach. If you guys win, you can have the beach,” said one of the guys. The insults flew back and forth between the two groups of men and before you know it things got out of hand. Women on the beach are freaking out and one photographer who tried to stand his ground was soon on the receiving end of some pop shots - his camera eventually being thrown into the water.

Will Matthew McConaughey name his son ‘Bud’ after his favorite beer?

That’s what new reports are saying.

McConaughey got the idea from his older brother, who named his son ‘Miller’.

A source told Star magazine, “Matthew’s older brother Michael named his second son Miller Lyte because he loved the beer so much. And Matthew loved the name so much he really wants to name his son after his favorite beer. He is thinking of going for Bud after Budweiser beer.”

Camila Alves isn’t too thrilled about the name. She thinks it’s a ridiculous idea.

The source added, “Camila is pretty old-fashioned. She hates the name and won’t let Matthew push her into this.”

It could be worse Camila. At least he isn’t into microbrews.
