Model Filippa Hamilton angry about being fired
Filippa Hamilton, a Ralph Lauren model for eight years, was fired after being told she no longer met her contractual obligations, meaning, she was too fat for the job.
The news isn’t that big of a deal, right? You hear about it all the time. Skinny bitches that aren’t starving – aren’t working.
But what is a little different about this is that Filippa was recently involved in a photoshop scandal where her body was obviously photoshopped to skeletal proportions. [Right]
Website Photoshop Disasters first published the ad featuring Filippa after receiving it from a tipster who spotted it in Tokyo. Then it went viral and suddenly Ralph Lauren was the butt of the joke.
The company quickly (and hastily) tried to have the websites remove the photos and later apologized in a statement saying:
“We have addressed the problem and going forward will take every precaution to ensure that the caliber of our artwork represents our brand appropriately.”
Please, they knew what they were doing. If no one would have said anything they would have done it again. And the next model might be even skinnier! Sh*t, let’s just dress up a corpse or a skeleton, seriously.
The fashion industry is so uptight about weight that I bet the company did it to spite Filippa. Just before the photoshop scandal emerged she was fired for being too heavy. So they fired her, then photoshopped her body at ridiculous proportions as if to say, “See bitch, this is what you should look like!” Believe me, they really are vicious like that.
This job belongs right up there with the Julia Robert Redbook cover. Classic!
