After his suicide attempt in August Owen Wilson is back on the scene. Unfortunately it seems he’s back to his old ways.

Owen was spotted drinking heavily at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica on October 5th, and witnesses say he got so drunk that he could barely walk out.

One Viceroy regular told Life & Style magazine that Wilson had the private library room and was joined by several other people.

“They had bottle service and were drinking vodka. Owen got so drunk, he stumbled when he went to leave. He could hardly walk. It was clear he’d had too much.”

Jamie Brandt who was a guest at the hotel that night said,

“He looked like he’d already been drinking. He was stumbling when he came in and literally falling down when he left.”

Of course Wilson’s publicist is denying his client was drunk saying that he’s only had ‘one drink’ that night.

One week later Wilson returned and this time he drank tequila. A witness says, “He ordered Patron Silver tequila on the rocks… and was drinking steadily the whole time.”

Owen’s back and feeling well!

Owen Wilson showed up at last nights LA premiere of his new movie, ‘The Darjeeling Limited’.

He entered the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater through a back entrance, and shocked the audience when he appeared onstage with other cast members.

Wes Anderson introduced Wilson as his best friend and added that, “I’ve never made a movie without him. and I hope I never have to.” The audience roared with applause

As the cast left the stage before the movie started, Roman Coppola and then Anjelica Huston hugged Wilson. Wilson joined Huston in the front row for a short time and then left the building.

It’s good to hear that Wilson is doing better and is being supported by his colleagues. That must be difficult facing your peers. Hopefully Owen’s past is behind him and people will let him move on. It seems that is the case as he is being welcomed back with open arms.

It seems Kate Hudson has been trying desperately to contact ex-flame Owen Wilson after his suicide attempt. However, sources are saying that the Wilson family is not allowing her to reach out to him during his recovery.

“Kate has been trying to get in touch with Owen and is distraught that the family doesn’t want her anywhere near him. She is very frustrated. They don’t think Kate is good for him.”

I’m sure this is a very personal time for the family, I mean the whole ordeal would take a lot out of you. They probably think that Kate is one of the last people Owen needs to talk to at this time. Which is probably true. I don’t believe all that crap about him attempting suicide because of their breakup either. I mean, Owen broke up with her in the first place. Best thing Kate could do is just send some flowers and give it time.

Owen Wilson has dropped out of a comedy he was filming with friend Ben Stiller so he can recover from his suicide attempt.

Wilson’s role in Tropic Thunder, was set to film in a couple of weeks. The actual filming of the movie started six weeks ago in Hawaii.

Ben Stiller is not only the producer and the director, he is also and starring in the film.

Stiller and Wilson came to the agreement that Wilson not take part in the movie. No word on if his part was written out or if he will be replaced by another actor  Other actors who are in the film are Jack Black, Robert Downey, Jr. and Nick Nolte.

It’s understandable why Wilson dropped out but it’s sad..what’s a Ben Stiller film without Wilson?  The two have been in eight movies together and have an amazing charisma between them.

According to Janet Charlton, Owen Wilson’s suicide attempt was NOT due to the breakup with Kate Hudson. As she points out, it was Wilson who broke up with her.

But Wilson is apparently relieved to hear that many believe the break-up is the reason he tried to kill himself.

“Hollywood insiders are buzzing that Owen’s problem is drugs, not women. They speculate that the drugs he’d been using made him depressed and drove him to attempt suicide. Why else would he have a high-powered lawyer at his bedside?”

I had an inkling this was what his suicide attempt was all about. Rumors have been buzzing that Owen loves his cocaine, and if I’m on the right track, he was up all night the night before and through the following morning, eventually breaking down around noon. Of course this is only a hunch, but my first thought when this all came about was that noon was an odd time to commit suicide. Not that there is any right or wrong time to do so, but it seems to make sense that he had been up all night long. And who knows, maybe he was up for more than one night..maybe it was two. It makes more sense than the break-up rumors. Whatever his reasoning, I still wish him the best and hopefully he is getting the help he needs.
