Team Brit wants everyone to know that the paps agencies aren’t always right. The pics that TMZ, X17, and JFX all posted today of Brit, were actually of her friend, Courtney.

Lindsay Lohan almost got in a bit of trouble this weekend.
She was heading to the Bowery Hotel in NYC last night where tons of paps were perching (because it was also where J. Lo was throwing hubby Marc Anthony a birthday bash) when she unexpectedly got into it with a cameraman.
There were metal barricades in front of the hotel and Linds tripped over one. She immediately assumed a photographer stuck his foot out and tripped her. So what does she do? She turns around and pops him – in the face – then just keeps hoofing it into the hotel.
I think that fat rail she did a few minutes before had her a little jumpy..
Anyhow, nothing came of the assault. The cops were called and showed up, but no charges were filed.

Kanye West was arrested at LAX for felony vandalism this morning after unleashing his fury on a cameraman’s equipment.
While at the American Airlines terminal, a photographer was taking photos of the hip hop star, much to Kanye’s displeasure. He confronted the cameraman, then threw his camera to the ground.
Another paps, who works for TMZ, saw the incident playing out and whipped out his video camera to record the chaotic event. When Kanye saw this he became even more enraged. He demanded, “Give me that f**king tape!”
His assistant backed him up and attacked the paparazzo. After a struggle, the assistant smashed the video camera to the ground, breaking it as well.
Police arrested both Kanye and his assistant. They will both be booked shortly.
Did Kanye over react, or should the paparazzi have backed off before it got violent?
Malibu Mayor Pamela Ulich has asked Ken Starr (yes, that one) to draw up new city laws involving the paparazzi who work in the celebrity-filled city.
Her plan is to make “buffer zones” for photographers who follow celebs to the beach, she also wants to tax them. She is hoping that the cameramen will “think twice before shoving a camera in your face”.
There have been two situations this week where surfers chased the paparazzi off the beach where Matthew MCConaughey was surfing.
With the internet and paparazzi sites burning up the internet the problem has gotten progressively worse over the past few years.
Ulich hopes to help control the menacing problem.
A group of surfers weren’t too happy when paparazzi came onto the beach in Malibu in hopes of catching a shot of Matthew McConaughey.
As the paparazzi filmed McConaughey surfing and waited for him to return to the beach, a group of pissed off, drunk young men approached them.
The young men get all worked up and do that testosterone thing that young punkasses do after a few free-flowing half racks of Pabst. Like a pack of dogs they approached the paps.
“We’ll draw a line in the beach, and we’ll fight for the beach. If you guys win, you can have the beach,” said one of the guys. The insults flew back and forth between the two groups of men and before you know it things got out of hand. Women on the beach are freaking out and one photographer who tried to stand his ground was soon on the receiving end of some pop shots – his camera eventually being thrown into the water.

Kate Moss had a bit of a hair-malfunction in Germany after promoting her new fragrance, Velvet Hour.
The supermodel returned to her Berlin hotel and while on the red carpet one of her hair extensions came tumbling off her head and onto the ground.
Of course a photographer was there with a quickness to swipe up the piece of Moss. The giddy paparazzo proudly displayed the lock of hair to his colleagues who eagerly snapped pics and secretly envied him.

A paparazzo, Edwin Merino, 30, has been arrested and charged with stalking Jamie Lynn Spears and the father of her baby, Casey Aldridge, in Liberty, Mississippi.
Merino, denies that he was stalking the younger Spears, but insists he was singled out because he was the only photographer in the small town.
“I’ve seen the young man Casey in pictures. I haven’t worked on them myself. The first time I got a good look at him was in court,” said Merino.
He admits he followed the couple for four days while in Liberty, but insists he kept his distance and used a long lens camera. He adds that he didn’t get any good shots of Jamie Lynn during his time in Liberty, until he went to Walmart to buy some deodorant.
“The one picture I got was kind of by luck. I got lucky when I saw them at Wal-Mart when I was buying deodorant.”
The cameraman posted bond Tuesday and is scheduled to appear in court next week. All in all he says his trip was “a waste.”
Merino is the same photographer who once captured older sister Britney Spears without any panties on. That must have been the high point of his career. So of course this trip was a waste, he was probably hoping for exclusive upskirt uterus shots of Jamie Lynn or something.
