President Obama’s Back to School Speech Video

President Obama addressed school children today in a prerecorded speech, encouraging kids to perform well in school and to step away from the X-Box every now and then.

The President’s speech is somewhat controversial because some parents think the President has an ulterior motive. Some schools/teachers chose not to show it.

I watched the video and really don’t get what all the fuss is about. I thought it was a good idea actually. Reminding kids that they are our future. Not that the kids will really listen to any of it, but ya know..

Ted Kennedy is dead

Ted Kennedy is dead at the age of 77.

Senator Kennedy died just before midnight Tuesday night at his home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. He had been fighting brain cancer for some time.

The Kennedy family released the following statement:

“We’ve lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever. We thank everyone who gave him care and support over this last year, and everyone who stood with him for so many years in his tireless march for progress toward justice.”

A poster depicting President Barack Obama as the Joker has been popping up in random spots in Los Angeles. The words below…”Socialism”.

The poster is causing many people to be offended while I am sure his opponents are thrilled. The poster is believed to be a campaign started by a group who oppose his universal health care proposals.
