The most popular male porn star in the world, Ron Jeremy, chats it up with TIME magazine in a new interview about his crazy life.

Jeremy talks about how he got into the porn industry, what it was like and how it has affected his relationships.  Great read!

TIME: How did you get your start in the porn industry?

Ron Jeremy: Like many Jewish boys, I was working up in the Catskills, as a waiter and the maitre d’ at the Paramount Hotel. I was doing theater, and it was a very difficult situation, especially in New York, where you couldn’t be an extra unless you were part of the Screen Actors Guild. I was making no money. We agreed — my girlfriend Alice and I — to take some pictures in the deluxe wing of the Paramount. We knew women could do Playboy and that might lead to a career in theater, film. I thought I would try it out and at least get some kind of exposure, pardon the pun. So my girlfriend took the photographs and sent them to Playgirl. I thought maybe they would agree to bring me to L.A. for a layout, and while I’m in L.A. I’ll try to get some work in Hollywood. Then Playgirl called and they said we have good news and bad news. The bad news is they weren’t going to fly me anywhere. The good news is that they were going to use the pictures we had taken.

How did the public respond to the photos?

I had used my real name: Ron Hyatt, from Queens, New York; likes to go hang gliding and sailing when he gets the chance, and working on his master’s degree in special education. A lot of people looked up R. Hyatt in Queens, New York, but they were getting my grandmother, Rose Hyatt, who lived downstairs. My poor grandmother was being woken up night and day, mostly by guys. Playgirl likes to think that their audience is mostly women, but no, no, the majority is gay. My poor grandma had to move. Then my dad sat me down and said, “I don’t know what cockamamie business you are getting into. You want to do something, fine, you’re an adult, but don’t you ever use the family name again.” So I used my middle name, which is Jeremy.

What was your path to the porn industry?

I quit teaching because I was making no money. After Playgirl I went to see a filmmaker I knew. Joe said he only did adult movies, so I said that’s kind of sleazy. Then I did theater for a few months and starved. So I went back to Joe and thought, it’s not so bad. I asked my family what they thought and they said, [we] aren’t crazy about the idea but if you really want to do this go ahead, if you think it may be a shortcut to the mainstream. So Joe put me in my first adult film, Tigresses and Other Man-eaters. I spent an hour in makeup and they never once saw my face.

Were you embarrassed during the filming?

Yes, a little. There were some professionals there who had done it for a while. I wasn’t getting the liftoff as quickly as they did. It was embarrassing. It’s funny because now, years later when I am not taking Viagra and the other guy does, I am still slow to the punch. I am the slow man on the totem pole. It was embarrassing because I was not used to being nude and having sex in a room full of people.

Porn star Jenna Jameson is reportedly pregnant with her boyfriend, Tito Ortiz’s child.

Jenna, who has had a couple of failed pregnancies in the past, is thrilled.

A source told the NY Post, “She had a bunch of meetings and things planned for Fashion Week, including meetings for her own line, but she’s postponed everything. She’s completely thrilled, this is something she’s wanted for a very long time.”

I am just shocked that her ratty ol’ clam could produce a child!

Jenna Jameson was on The View this morning, and it actually I found the interview to be pretty interesting.

I mean admit it, porn stars are a curious bunch!

Jenna was brutally honest on the show, opening up about her career in the sex industry, not glamorizing it, but explaining how she broke into it, why she does it and if she’ll be able to stay out of it now. She actually looked good, better than she has in recent still shots. Oh yeah, she also discusses her weight.

What cracks me up about this interview, is that Elizabeth Hasselbeck throws out one question to Jenna regarding HIV, (at :58) and you can just feel that she wants to make Jenna look bad and possibly blame the spread of HIV on her or something. But Jenna’s answer is good, and doesn’t seem bothered by the question at all. For the rest of the interview Elizabeth sits there stiffly and is quiet as a mouse as the other women pretty much lead the interview. So NOT like her!

Then when Sheri Shepherd is describing Jenna’s new film, Zombie Strippers, (3:28) Elizabeth has a smirk on her face that pretty much tells you she feels superior to, but is intimidated by Jameson. I mean hello? Since when does Elizabeth keep that sharp little tongue in her mouth? Thanks for shutting her up, Jenna!

TMZ caught the recently rehabbed Mary Carey outside Mr. Chow last night and we are happy to report that she is still sober.

Mary talked with the paps about the Daniel Baldwin incident on ‘Celebrity Rehab’ in which he text messaged her dirty messages and asked where he could buy her X-rated films.

The day after, he asked her to keep it quiet, since he is a married man. Instead, she came forward with the information to fellow rehabbers and to Dr. Drew. His wife found out about it and has since called Mary.

A little different from this year, ya think?

Jenna Jameson announced that she is retiring from the porn business at the Adult Video News Awards this weekend in Vegas.

Many in the industry are disappointed that the porn icon is done making films. Jenna has won more than 20 adult entertainment awards and is one of the world’s most recognized porn stars in the world.

Jameson, who is in a serious relationship with UFC fighter and trainer, Tito Ortiz, told the audience at the awards show, “Honesty is key - and I will never ever ever spread my legs in this industry EVER!” That pissed off some people at the event and Jenna was booed. Her colleagues felt Jenna acted as though she was ‘above the industry’ that got her where she is today.

Good for her! Screw those loser, junky porn stars who booed her. Jenna doesn’t need to spread her legs these days. I would think it was awkward if she DID stay in porn, being as she and Tito are so serious.

Props to her for having the balls to stand up and say it!

John C. Reilly got his hands dirty while researching for his role in the 90s classic, ‘Boogie Nights’. Literally.

Reilly played porn star Reed Rothchild in the movie and prepared for the role by visiting an actual porn set. He says the male star never stopped having sex while introducing himself.

He told Maxim,

“We walk onto one porn set and this guy is giving this girl the business. The guy’s handling his joint, and they’re sweaty, with make-up dripping everywhere. It’s a gruesome scene…Then the guy recognizes me, says, ‘John C. Reilly! I’m such a huge fan!’ and goes to shake my hand. I’m like, ‘Oh God,’ and he’s like, ‘Don’t worry! I was using the other hand!’ But he wasn’t.”

That’s just nasty! I think I would have kept that one to myself. Better yet, I would have refused to shake the dirty porn star’s hand to begin with.  He might as well have shaken his dick!
