Jennifer Hudson is pregnant with her first child!

Hudson, 27, is engaged to boyfriend David Otunga who you may remember from VH1’s I Love New York. He is reportedly pursuing a pro wrestling career.

Friends and family threw the singer a low-key baby shower in downtown Chicago this weekend.

Family friend and singer Felicia Fields confirmed the exciting news:

“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had.”

She added that the couple does not know the sex of the child and refused to say when Jennifer is due.

After everything this poor girl has gone through it’s nice to see that she is discovering new joy in her life.

Supermodel Adriana Lima is pregnant with her first child.

The Brazilian Victoria’s Secret model married NBA player Marko Jaric [Memphis Grizzlies] in Wyoming on Valentine’s Day this year. The couple wasted no time starting a family. The baby is due this winter.

The couple’s reps released a joint statement: “Adriana and Marko are overjoyed that they are expecting their first child together and are excited to share the happy news and start their family together.”

Mel Gibson’s girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Gibson’s estranged wife, Robyn, filed for divorce last month after almost 29 years of marriage.

Grigorieva is said to be in her second trimester.

Mel has reportedly informed his ex-wife and seven children of the news.

Interestingly enough, Oksana recently was shacked up in a home that producer David Foster had set up for her. Nowadays Oksana is living large in a house that Mel pays for.

Michelle Ross is the surrogate mother for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s twins.

According to the UK’s Daily Mail (credible, I know..) Michelle is a 26-year-old ex-bartender who has tattoos, is bisexual and has had a bit of a roller coaster past. Sounds like a heathen already! Heh.

She had a son, Brayden, before divorcing her husband in 2006, and, according to some, she rarely sees her child. Her ex has custody. “Michelle has kids for other people, but she hardly ever sees her own son,” Joseph Erker told Star magazine.

Michelle was pregnant before Brayden but the lost the baby after she developed Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a disorder that left her temporarily paralyzed.

Weird. I never did get the ‘have a baby then give it up’ thing anyhow. I don’t understand how someone could just give it up. Your egg or not! Then go through the pain of the actual delivery and such and just hand it off, like “here ya go!” But that’s just me.

Anyhow, the babies are incubating in Michelle’s tummy.

Recently retired pro golfer Annika Sorenstam is expecting her fist child with husband Mike McGee.

Sorenstam made the announcement on her blog last week.

“We have had a lot of exciting changes in the past few months, and adding a new addition to our family later this fall will certainly be at the top of that list. We are absolutely thrilled and look forward to this new chapter of our lives.”

The child is due in the fall.
