Griffin O’Neal bashes his father, Ryan O’Neal, on Larry King Live.

It seems that Griffin wants to set the record straight. His father was not a kind, caring man, but instead, a selfish, jealous, “faithless”, bitter old man who was angry about the attention Farrah received at the end of her life.

In the beginning of the interview, Griffin accuses his father of refusing to let him say goodbye to Farrah during her last days and says he even banned him from her funeral. He says he calls his father “Ryan” these days because he doesn’t consider him to be a father.

He goes on to say that Ryan was angered when he found out Farrah had cancer. Ryan himself had been battling leukemia, but the disease has been in remission for quite sometime. Griffin quotes his father as saying, “NO! You’re not dying! I’M dying!” Because, he says, that would mean all attention would go from him to Farrah, and he didn’t like that.

In regards to an interview Ryan gave about Farrah and their long term love affair, Larry asks, “Do you think those were crocodile tears?” To which Griffin responds, “I haven’t seen a tear yet!” Even Larry seemed to be taken aback by this response.

Larry later reads a statement written by Ryan O’Neal’s publicist, obviously meant to bash and discredit his son, in order to make himself look better. But I don’t know, I tend to believe Griffin over Ryan. I don’t trust Ryan AT ALL. And besides, what exactly does Griffin have to gain here? Nothing much. I believe him and think he is telling the truth and exposing his narcissistic, greedy father.

At the end of the video Griffin tells his side of the story about what happened the day that he, his pregnant wife, Redmond and his father were involved in that crazy altercation with the fireplace poker, and when Ryan pulled a gun on him.

Ryan O’Neal on The Today Show talking with Meredith Vieira about his longtime love, Farrah Fawcett and her final days.

Farrah Fawcett’s funeral is taking place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in L.A. today.

Her son Redmond, 24, will be allowed to attend thanks to a Superior Court judge allowing him to do so. He will be able to wear plain clothes, but will be escorted by sheriff’s deputies. He is currently serving time for drug related charges. Afterwards he will head back to the clink.

Farrah died last Thursday after a long battle with anal cancer. She was 62.

I wonder if Ryan will show up to the funeral all geeked out. This guy reminds me of Joe Jackson a little bit – just more subtle. Probably because he’s an actor. Didn’t he treat Farrah like hell and get her all into coke? Oh yeah, and his son Redmond might be serving time, but from what I remember Ryan was busted with a little crystal meth at the same time his son was.

Maybe after Ryan realized Farrah was terminal he felt bad for the way he had treated her his whole life. But then again, maybe he also saw it as an opportunity, an opportunity to finance HIS drug habit.  I’m not sure which, but I don’t trust this guy.

Farrah Fawcett is throwing a birthday party for longtime partner Ryan O’Neal at her home next week.

Farrah’s BFF Alana Stewart (George Hamilton & Rod Stewart’s ex-wife) talked with People magazine and says that Fawcett is hosting the party for O’Neal’s 68th birthday next Monday night.

She says, “There will be cake and champagne. Ryan has really been there for Farrah in such a wonderful way.”

Stewart denied that Farrah is 86-pounds as her son Redmond had told the courts last week. She explains, “Farrah is not 86 pounds. Redmond is young and overreacted a little. Farrah has lost weight, but not that much. No, no, no.”

She also says that Farrah is doing much better since being released from the hospital for internal bleeding due to a small procedure she had done in Germany. “I just saw her last night and she looked better. She had color in her face and was talking and laughing.”

Ryan O’Neal, 67, and son Redmond, 24, were arrested and booked this morning on suspicion of narcotics possession after a probationary police search of their home turned up methamphetamine.

Redmond, son of Farrah Fawcett, was in possession of the drug and a vial was also found in Ryan’s bedroom.

They are being held on $10,000 bail.

The O’Neal family have had numerous drug problems in recent years. Ryan’s daughter, Tatum O’Neal was arrested in NY last June after attempting to buy crack cocaine.  In early 2007 Ryan and son Griffin were involved in a physical fight with a fireplace poker being used as a weapon. Griffin reportedly chained up his brother, Redmond, so he would not buy drugs.

What a looney ass family.  Ryan O’Neal is one of those people who should never have had children.  He and Farrah did so much cocaine during the 80s & 90s that it’s a wonder their children are doing the same.

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne made an announcement yesterday that tickets to this summer’s Ozzfest will be absolutely free. It is said that Alice in Chains will be just one of many bands to play the festival.

Keith Urban is suing an artist also by the name of Keith Urban, saying the the painter is using a site with his name to sell art.
Meanwhile all is good on the home front with the Keith and Nicole Kidman. The two are planning a romantic Valentine’s Day together.

Ryan O’Neal is claiming that it was his son Griffin who was the aggressor in their domestic dispute which ended with shots being fired. On the other hand it is Griffin’s attorneys who are saying that it was Ryan who in fact was to blame saying that he inflicted facial lacerations on the pregnant girlfriend of Griffin’s. But it gets even weirder. Ryan apparently is also saying the reason he went off on Griffin and the girlfriend was after returning home from celebrating his 60th birthday with Farrah Fawcett he found his son Redmond, 21, tied up in a dog run. Griffin reportedly tied up the younger brother who was high on PCP at the time.

Ryan O’Neal, 65, was arrested Saturday morning at his Malibu home after a fight with his son, Griffin, 42.

O’Neal was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm. He was released from jail at 5:30am and after posting $50,000 bail.

Police told TMZ.com that O’Neal fired at least one gunshot during the scuffle. A girlfriend of Griffin’s was reportedly hurt during the domestic dispute, but police failed to specify if it was due to a gunshot or not.

Griffin is apparently just as screwed up as his father. He has had multiple run ins with the law..

“Griffin O’Neal, son of Ryan and Joanna Moore, is also no stranger to the law. The 42-year-old spent 18 days in jail for not performing the community service ordered by a judge who found him guilty of reckless boating in a 1986 accident that killed the son of film director Francis Ford Coppola.”

Griffin also has a history of substance abuse. He pleaded no contest to a drunken driving charge in 1989. In 1992, he agreed to spend one year in a live-in drug rehabilitation program after pleading no contest to charges he shot at his estranged girlfriend’s unoccupied car.”

So this looks like one big happy fucked up family.

I find it apalling that #1, a father pulled a gun in a fight with his son, and #2, that back in 1986 Griffin couldn’t even perform the community service requested of him for contributing to events that resulted in the death of a person. What a slap in the face to Francis Ford Coppola and family.
