A coroner has stated that Billy Mays died from a pulmonary embolism not a blow to the head as was once thought.

Mays, 50, was on a US Airways flight Saturday when the plane experienced a rough landing. During that time, something fell from a compartment overhead and hit him on his head. He later joked about it on his Twitter page.

The Oxiclean spokesman died later that same weekend.

But according to a Tampa coroner the preliminary autopsy results show evidence of heart disease, with no trauma to the head. Mays had an enlarged heart and a thickening of the ventricle.

Sad news, but I bet US Airways is breathing a sigh of relief..

Amanda Brumfield, the daughter of Billy Bob Thornton, has been charged with child neglect which resulted in the death of a 1-year-old child she was babysitting.

Brumfield is Thornton’s oldest child with ex-wife, Melissa Gatlin.

The incident happened in October when Brumfield told police that the child had fallen from her playpen. But police aren’t buying it. The autopsy showed that the baby died of a blunt force to the skull causing a subdural hematoma.

She told police that after the baby’s supposed fall, the only injury she noticed was a bleeding tongue. So she cleaned the cut and went on playing with the child, feeding her fruit, adding that the child was “happy”. She says she then laid down on the couch for a nap and had the child next to her. When she awoke, she discovered the child’s lifeless body.

Police say that Brumfield didn’t call for help until more than 2 hours after the child’s “accident”.

Billy Bob Thornton’s rep released the following statement on behalf of the actor: “Mr. Thornton is estranged from Amanda and has had no contact with her for quite some time, however when informed about this situation he commented that, ‘Anytime a baby’s life is lost is an unimaginable tragedy and my heart goes out to the baby’s family and loved ones.’”

Mike Tyson’s daughter Exodus Tyson has died after being accidentally hanged by a cord.

She was only 4-years-old.

On Monday around 10:30 A.M. Exodus was playing around the family’s treadmill when she became caught in a cord that was attached to the machine. She was unable to free herself and was discovered by her 7-year-old brother.

Paramedics performed CPR on the girl and she was rushed to a nearby hospital. She was put on life support but died Tuesday just before noon.

The family released the following statement:

“There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.”

How tragic.

Mike Tyson’s four-year-old daughter was found hanging from a cord Monday morning and is in “extremely critical” condition.

Exodus Tyson was found by her 7-year-old brother who discovered her hanging from a cord that was attached to a treadmill in the family’s Phoenix home. He got his mother, who released the child, called 911 and tried to revive Exodus.

Police Sgt. Andy Hill described the tragic accident:

“Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there’s a cord that hangs under the console — it’s kind of a loop. Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it.”

Paramedics performed CPR on the girl before transporting her to St. Joe’s hospital.

Tyson was in Las Vegas when the accident happened but immediately flew home to be with his family.

After two years, 17-year-old Kara Kopetsky still has not been found.

The teen was featured on Nancy Grace’s Cold Case this morning in hopes that someone who knows something will come forward.

The teen was last spotted leaving her school grounds after arguing with a teacher. She left school around 10:30am and was never seen again.

She worked for Popeye’s Chicken and didn’t show up for her shift that day despite asking her mother to make sure her uniform had been washed. Kara’s cell phone and bank activity also stopped that day.

A $30,000 reward is offered for tips leading to the whereabouts of Kara Kopetsky or the arrest of anyone responsible for her disappearance.

Police and family urge people to call the Belton Police Department’s tip-line at 816-474-TIPS. Kara is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 125 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

The family of Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali is trying to sell the girl for a reported $300,000.

News of the World sent two reporters to India and disguised them as a wealthy couple from Dubai. They then arranged a meeting with the family to discuss the terms.

Rubina’s father, Rafiq, told the couple that he is interested in selling his daughter so that she can grow up in a wealthy household. The money collected from the sale of the child would also help to get his family out of the slums.

Rubina’s family feels they are owed something after the child’s success in the Academy Award winning film.

The person who tipped off News of the World said,

“Dad Rafiq is streetwise and knows that soon his daughter’s success will be forgotten and her moment of fame will be over. He has a family to feed and simply can’t afford it. He is keen to find a rich family to bring up Rubina but only if they are willing to help the whole family to get out of the slums.”

The tipster also described Rafiq as an opportunist, looking to cash in on his daughter while the getting is good.

UPDATE: People magazine is reporting that Rubina’s family is denying these reports.

Rafiq says that the News of the World reporters were, “a couple of journalists playing games with me.” Rubina’s mother added, “We are poor, yes, but not so poor that we have to sell our children. The whole thing is a lie.”

Even little Rubina had a comment to share. “I trust my father. He loves me. He has never said that he wants to give me up. I did meet an uncle and auntie in a big hotel but it was not about adoption. I will never give any foreign journalist an interview again.”

So, I guess the question of the day is, for the betterment of your child, could you give them up to a wealthy family in hopes that they would have more opportunities available than you could afford them?

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a hit & run accident after the game last night.

The accident happened in Fullerton, only hours after Adenhart had pitched a game.

Nick was the passenger in a Mitsubishi Eclipse when a minivan came screaming through an intersection, hitting Nick’s vehicle and causing it to hit a pole. Three people were killed. At least two of them were involved with the Angels ball club.

The driver of the minivan fled the scene but was later apprehended. That person is being treated for injuries at a local hospital and will be charged with felony hit and run.

Nick was only 22.

The driver of the minivan has been identified as Andrew Gallo. Gallo fled the scene after the accident and was driving on a suspended license - due to another past DUI!

The driver of the Mitsubishi was 20-year-old Courtney Stewart. She was a student at Cal State Fullerton.

One survivor, Jon Wilhite, a former baseball player at Cal State Fullerton, is in critical condition at the UC Irvine Medical Center.
