Friends closest to John Travolta and Kelly Preston say that the couple are slowly beginning to emerge from the shock of losing their only son, Jett.

The Travolta family celebrated daughter Ella Bleu’s 9th birthday on April 3rd. It was her first birthday without her brother. Friends who attended the party say that the Travoltas are struggling to move on but are leaning heavily on one another now more than ever.

Olivia Newton-John said of close friend John, “John is a strong man, but we want to leave him in peace. To lose a loved one – it’s the worst time in anyone’s life.”

Another family friend says the Travolta’s are learning to cope. “They aren’t secluding themselves or paralyzed. [Seeing them] was like old times. Nothing awkward and no topics to dance around. There were smiles.”

Actress and close friend Leah Remini also spoke about the family, lending her support. “How do you deal with the greatest tragedy in your life?” she said. “I can tell you that they are handling it the best any parent could ever deal.”

Jett’s 17th birthday would have been April 13th.

I feel for them on this day. Birthdays are the worst after someone has died. Especially the first one.

Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized and is in critical, but stable, condition.

The actress, 62, has been battling cancer for three years. She recently returned from Germany where she’s been receiving experimental treatment. When she arrived at LAX, paparazzi were snapping photos of her in a wheelchair. Fawcett later lashed out at the photographers saying she had pleaded with them to not photograph her.

Sadly, these may be Farrah’s last days. She is unconscious and has been in the hospital for days.

Fawcett’s longtime companion Ryan O’Neal, whose leukemia is in remission, has been by Farrah’s side. Son Redmond left rehab earlier this week after being kicked out and is currently behind bars since being caught attempting to sneak narcotics into a jail.

Redmond was going to visit an incarcerated friend when he was subjected to a random security search. He immediately admitted to having the drugs, was searched and jailed. He remains there on $25,000 bail.

Sad and pathetic. His mother is most likely close to dying and he is out smuggling drugs into jail for fellow junkies. What the hell?

It might be a good thing that Farrah is unconscious so she doesn’t know what’s going on. Redmond should have been by his mother’s side. Now he may never see her again. Just sad.

Even though I don’t live in England I know that Jade Goody caused quite a stir after her appearance on the UK version of the reality show Big Brother.

Sadly, the poor girl was cursed with cervical cancer and it got the best of her. Jade lost her battle with cancer today, at the age of 27.

Although I cannot provide a link of confirmation, the news has been reported on BBC1.

Jade was struggling so hard to stay on this earth so that she could give her children one last Mother’s Day hug. She made it until this very day, but it is with great sadness that she also passed on this day.(Today is Mother’s Day in Britain.)

You know the Greeks didn’t write obituaries, they only asked one question after someone died, ‘Did he/she have passion?’ And yes, I do believe Jade did. Rest in peace, sweet girl.

Liam Neeson and his family have released the following statement about the passing of Natasha Richardson.

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Natasha Richardson’s family has decided to take the actress off life support after she was critically injured in a bizarre fall.

Richardson was in Montreal, Canada when she suffered a fall while taking a beginner’s ski lesson. Instructors say she seemed fine for an hour afterward but then began complaining of a headache. Shortly after she was rushed to the hospital.

Rumors have abounded in the past 24+ hours, including erroneous reports of her death yesterday.

Natasha, who is the wife of Liam Neeson, daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and sister to actress Joely Richardson, was flown to New York’s Lennox Hill hospital where family was expected to hold vigil.

We have learned that Richardson suffered bleeding between her brain and skull causing her to be brain dead. No other details are currently known.

Our condolences to Natasha’s loved ones. Truly terrible news.

Sadly, British reality star Jade Goody’s health has taken a turn for the worse.

Her publicist, Max Clifford, told People magazine, “She was hoping to be well enough to see the boys but at the moment she is in a very bad state, she is very unwell.”

He added that she has been unable to spend much time with her boys Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4, because of her deteriorated state. Husband Jack Tweed, 21, has been by her side.

Goody, 27, left the hospital last Wednesday to return home where she can be surrounded by her family as she lives out her last days.

She has been heavily sedated and is in a coma-like state, unconscious most of the time. When awake she does seem aware of her family.

Clifford says that sadly, Jade’s life is near the end. “A priest came to the house today to sit with her and they all said a few prayers together. It’s just a matter of when.”

Lisa Renee Davis, a former model who had been missing since Sunday night, was found dead after the suicide note written by a suspect lead police to her body.

On Tuesday evening, authorities wished to question Austin Agee, 21, about the model so they paid a visit to his home. When they arrived, Agee’s mother answered the door. She then went upstairs to retrieve her son. Police heard a scuffle, a scream and then a shot. Agee had shot and killed himself with a shotgun.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police soon after found a suicide note which told police where Lisa’s body could be found.

Martha Stewart’s beloved puppy, Genghis Khan, was killed in a propane explosion at a dog kennel in Lehighton, Pa.

A propane tank was being refilled near the building when it ignited, setting the pet’s pens on fire.

Fifteen dogs died in the blast, another two died later. The driver of the truck, Timothy Kleinhagen of Summit Hill, was burned badly but has been upgraded from critical to stable condition.

The cause of the incident was thought to have been static electricity.

Stewart blogged about her loss saying she is “deeply saddened” at the loss of her new puppy.

She added that she is keeping the driver, the kennel owner and the surviving dogs in her thoughts.

Her 12-year-old Chow Paw Paw died last year.

I reported about the 200-pound chimpanzee attack yesterday where a supposedly “domesticated” chimpanzee escaped from his home and began wandering his Connecticut neighborhood.

Owner Sandra Herold called her friend Charla Nash, 55, to come and help her retrieve the animal. Once Nash arrived (with a new hairdo) the chimp, named Travis, attacked her, unprovoked.

The attack was so grim that the animal literally ripped off her face. Police thought she was a man when they first saw her. “There’s a man down. He doesn’t look good,” an officer radios, referring to Nash. “We’ve got to get this guy out of here. He’s got no face.”

Herold, looking to save her friend, ran inside, called 911, and grabbed a butcher knife. She then tried to kill the animal by stabbing it and hitting it with a shovel.

Once police arrived on the scene and they saw the condition of the victim they knew what a dire situation they were in. Travis lunged at officer’s who were forced to retreat to their vehicles. The 15-year-old chimp then opened one of the officer’s car doors and was going to attack him when he was shot by the officer. Travis then went back inside the home where he died.

The 911 call has been released today and it is horrifying. [Listen here.]

The animal is heard grunting during the call as his owner frantically screams, “He’s killing my friend!” The dispatcher says, “Who’s killing your friend?” Herold replies, “My chimpanzee! He ripped her apart! Shoot him, shoot him!”

After police arrive, one officer radios back: “There’s a man down. He doesn’t look good,” he says, referring to the disfigured Nash. “We’ve got to get this guy out of here. He’s got no face.”

Yesterday we reported that Herold said she had given Travis a Xanax shortly before the attack, but Herold is disputing those reports today. She is also trying to retrieve her pet’s body so she can have him cremated, but police are holding the body during the investigation.

It’s not known if charges will be pressed as of yet. Sometimes animal owners can be held responsible for attacks.

All around the entire incident is absolutely tragic and sad. Hopefully Nash can make a recovery, although sadly, her life will never, ever be the same.
