Sarah Silverman raised eyebrows at this years MTV Video Music Awards after making fun of Britney Spears and her vagina.

Sarah just wants to have fun and not take life so seriously.

Us Magazine: First off, were you surprised by the negative reaction to your Britney jokes at the VMAs?

The joke that everyone was upset about — me calling the kids “adorable mistakes” — was the most innocuous joke. It never occurred to me that would be deemed hurtful or over the line. I don’t want to get into feuds with girls half my age. I’m in it to be funny and not for the drama. It’s embarrassing.

Us: On to your show: Is the new season crazier?

The story lines are ridiculous! It’s that contrast that makes the show work— absurdity played real.

Us: We also see more of your real-life sis, Laura. Is there anything bad about working with her?

Yes, she’s thinner than me! I need to get one of those Lucy-and-Ethel clauses. [It’s rumored that the actress who played Ethel on I Love Lucy had to be 20 pounds overweight.]

Us: We hear Angelina Jolie is a fan of the show. True?

I met her on the lot, and she was so cool! There is a chance she’ll show up in an episode. I don’t know why, but I’m seeing her in an Annie wig.

Us: Why does your relationship with Kimmel work?

I have no clue. He’s cute, and he has dimples, and we love each other.

Sarah’s show on Comedy Central, The Sarah Silverman Program, premieres on October 3rd.

Sarah does her best Britney Spears’ vagina impression with her mouth!

Sarah Silverman did not disappoint during the MTV VMA’s. She had me rolling! Of course the highlight of her opening act was her ripping Britney Spears apart!

Not only did she call Britney’s kids mistakes, she tossed a shaved crotch joke in the mix too.

“Have you seen Britney’s kids? Oh my god, they are the most adorable mistakes you will ever see! They are as cute as the hairless vagina they came out of.”

I think I peed myself when she laid that one down!

“She is amazing. I mean, she is 25 years old and she’s already accomplished everything she’s going to accomplish in her life.”

“It’s weird to think that just a few years ago on this very show, she was this, like, sweet innocent little girl in slutty clothes writhing around with a python. That’s not nice…calling Madonna a python.”

I just had to watch this years show being as it was hosted by Sarah Silverman.

And she didn’t disappoint.

The highlight of the evening for me was Sarah’s opening monologue.  Specifically when she mocked Paris Hilton going to jail..

"In a couple of days Paris Hilton is going to jail.  (laughter erupts) The judge says that it’s going to be a no frills thing, and that is totally ridiculous.  She is totally going to get special treatment.  In fact, I heard in order to make her feel more comfortable in prison the guards are gunna paint the bars to look like penises."

The audience roars..

"I think it’s wrong too.  I just worry that she is going to break her teeth on those things."

The crowd goes wild. Cameras cut to Paris looking pissed but forcing a smile…
