Shakira shakes her moneymaker on America’s Got Talent.

Never been much of a Shakira fan, but I know there are a lot of them out there. Not to diss on her, I actually like her, generally speaking, but damn, girlfriend was looking like a total sell-out last night. So much for sticking to her roots. She seems to be a part of the music industry’s money making machine now. Sex, sex, sex. Like a high-class, lip-syncing stripper, really. Talented singer? That’s secondary..

A lot of celebrities have the means to give to those less fortunate but not many put their money where their mouth is.

You certainly cannot accuse Shakira of being one of them. Not when she’s donating $45 million to those in need.

While at the Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York, Shakira announced that she would be donating $40 million to help areas in Latin America such as Peru and Nicaragua who are dealing with natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes.

The other $5 million will be for poor children’s educational projects and schooling in Latin American countries.
