The months of rehabilitative care and the painful strain of physical therapy were traumatic. I really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet. Steven Tyler, 60, has checked into rehab for substance abuse.

He’s staying at the Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena. This is the same rehab clinic that Dr. Drew practices at and where the VH1 reality show Celebrity Rehab was filmed.

Tyler suffers from Hepatitis C and has said in the past that he is a recovering drug addict.
