Jay Leno asked Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz 10 questions on The Jay Leno Show last night.

And it got a little weird! Well, anytime someone tries to talk with Tom Cruise about life things get a little bizarre..

Jay asks Tom question number four, the best question I might add.. “Tom, have you ever been to a strip club?” Egad! He asked something I would ask! Xenu no likey!

Tom, clearly lying, answers that he has not. Liar, liar, your ass is on fire! He was such a stud back in the Risky Business days, and he was so young, I highly doubt he didn’t get a few funbags bounced off his face in his younger days. Bitch please! I tried to capture the exact moment on his face that I knew he was lying in the photo to the right.

Jay responds to Tom with “You Lie!” Ha! My thoughts exactly.

Brad Pitt is pulling no punches when comparing his new film, Inglourious Basterds, to that of Tom Cruise’s, Valkyrie.

There is no comparison, he says. “It was a ridiculous movie,” he says of Valkyrie.

Pitt gave an interview with German magazine, Stern, and in it he says that Quentin Tarantino made the World War II film to end all Hilter assassination war flicks.

“The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin put a cover on that pot. With Basterds, everything than can be said to this genre has been said. The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story.”

Quite a powerful statement. It reminds me of this 1899 quote from Charles H. Duell, commissioner of the U.S. Patent Office:

“Everything that can be invented has been invented.”

Heh.

So while I love the fact that Pitt is that confident about his new film, and I am pleasantly surprised at his jab at colleague, I still think it’s a bit bold. I’ll just have to reserve total judgment until I see it for myself.

(Pssstt… generally, I do love Tarantino films, and I don’t doubt Pitt’s claims at all!)

Gee, to watch it back now Tommy boy sure looks wet behind the ears!

The one thing I always think of when remembering this film is  how much I hate that damn Bob Seger song, “Old Time Rock & Roll”. I still cringe every time I hear it. And I’m pretty sure I was the only one who didn’t think Rebecca De Mornay was anything special either. Rat face!

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Curtis Armstrong, who plays Cruise’s buddy ‘Miles’ in the film. He went on the play ‘Booger’ in Revenge of the Nerds, remember? He was like the Stifler of the 80s, but not as hot. Ok, he was filthy ugly, but also a total perv like Stif.

Movies ruled for teens in the 80. They were all about sex, drugs AND rock n’ roll!
