Rocker Trent Reznor married his fiancee, Mariqueen Maandig, former singer for West Indian Girl, this past Saturday, October 17th.

News of the wedding was brought about after former Nine Inch Nails bandmate Danny Lohner posted, “Goths the world over will mourn this day – off to a wedding.” He later posted a small photo of the bride and groom.

We all know how much The Rez loves his Twitter (not!) so I am sure he’s elated about his buddy posting about his wedding on there. Reznor deleted his popular Twitter account after news of his engagement to Maandig hit the press. Fans were not pleased about the couple’s engagement, and they said so. Maandig isn’t exactly a hit with Reznor’s hardcore fans..

The couple have yet to make an official announcement – and I’m sure they aren’t in a rush to do so, either.

Trent Reznor and his girlfriend of only a few weeks, musician Mariqueen Maandig, are engaged.

Maandig confirmed the news on her band’s website, West Indian Girl.

But as Agent Bedhead points out, it might not be match made in heaven. Reznor is a recovering addict and Mariqueen is a partygirl, known to indulge in booze & weed.

Trent Reznor is accusing rock legend Gene Simmons of straying from his rock roots by creating music for the sole purpose of making money.

Says Reznor, “I hope I don’t fall into that trap. I loved Kiss when I was growing up. At puberty they were there to rescue me from a life of athleticism – failed athleticism.

“But I would hope that I never become Gene Simmons: where as an X-year-old man I’m singing about making out with chicks in the back of a car because the kids want that. That’s not how I see my role as an artist.”
